Has anyone else noticed that carowinds is a havan for gothics. Almost every time I go I see them, some are weird in a way, like with one with a earhole the size of a golfball with his girlfriend nibbleing on it on top gun.

Nope!
I don't care as I have many of friend that try to be Goths. I've never seen them start any trouble and I find humor that the general public don't know how to take them as they stare towards them. I say anyone who can wear that much heavy black clothing during the heat of the summer either gets a high-5 or an idiot award. :P

Most of the freshman class at my high school are goths. Its probaly becuase after I graduated 8th grade the middle school enstated a new dress code that to me seemed way too strict. They turned goth because they had to where some kind of clothing, so why not go goth? lol  There are lots of preps too. Its like half and half. Now my class, the sophmores, we are mostly preps, only a hand full of goths (like 20 or 30) and our class has like 350. Now myself, I am a prep. That ear thing, I think that they are called gauges, that looks painfull.

The so-called "Carowinds gothics" have been hanging around the park since the early 2000 season. Not in the last few years has that group caused much trouble, however during the 2000-2002 season, the gothic group, known once as a group called "Kronic", where always under the careful eye of secruity. Though the group didn't break any major laws, there were a few occasions where some members of the group were repremanded for minor things like distruction to property (Market Place Stage), public display of obscenery, and the group left a lot of trash around the old tree, they hung out by.

After the Market Place Stage was removed in 2003, so was the famous "gothic tree" and since then I believe they have split up a bit and the problems are not near as bad, or if any problems are coming from them at all.

*** Please, before any body comes on here saying I'm bashing these different people, I just want you to know that what I wrote is exactley what happened from the past seasons. The above are true statements I hope you fine people will see that and just take this as a statement of the fact. Thank you

I've seen this at almost every major theme park I've been to.

I don't understand though the logic in dressing all in black full length pants and shirt then going to an amuesment park in 90 degree weather!

But to each his own. As long as they don't bother me, I don't care what they look like. As long as they dress descent.

Actually most of them do, it's the girls hanging out of their clothes that are overweight that get on my nerves at parks (not goths).

The scariest thing that I've ever seen was the day of C3. I was walking out to the parking lot to get something out of the Explorer. I passed this seriously overweight girl in a bikini. This was in the Top Gun plaza. If she wanted attention, she was certainly getting it. About an hour later, we were sitting down near the Batwing tunnel looking over the scavengar hunt questions, and she walked by again, still letting it all hang out.

I understand the Black part, but not the full length pants and shirt though.

Oh well, I don't really care if Goths are at the park. I have nothing against them.

I have nothing against, I just wondered if anyone else noticed. And I puke when I see almost 300pound woman or a teen wearing a bikini..
