Yah! Its one of those threads; but, let's go on ahead and bring it back! Whats for 2005? From what we hear:

-Update to Animation Station
-Flying Scooters
-Taking out three kiddie Rides for one new ride
-Boomerang Bay

I for one dont want the Flying Scooters!

Although I like Flying Scooter's, I'd rather see something a little more high tech in the flat ride department at Carowinds. Of course, at this point for Carowinds, any flat ride would be nice.

Its getting kinda late and I'm getting edgy because we haven't seen a press release yet; 3 of the 5 parks have released their 2005 five plans and to me, it looks like were not getting anything. There has been no construction in the waterpark and anywhere else besides Kiddieland; I'm getting scared.

BINGO! That's where the '05 additions are going. There is NOT going to be anything to make one rush out and renew their season pass, I'll guarantee that!

I heard yesterday that the waterpark expansion is delayed indefinately. The only way the waterpark can expand is to go further into the NC side. Carowinds does not like adding major attractions on the NC side of the park (although they have no choice at times), because the inspection process is so preposterous. That's not to say that it won't happen eventually.

Uhhh...I think he meant for 2005 instead of the rest of the park life span lol lol!

From my understanding all of the parks have surfaced with what they are getting in 2005 and the list goes as follows:

PCW-Italian Job Stunt Track
PGA- BB Expansion
PKD- Tomb Raider-The Ride
PKI- Italian Job Stunt Track

This looks to be the "Year of the Paramount"

...And there was one...

A couple people said that we won't be getting anything for next season because they haven't announced it yet. At this time last year, the only people that knew about Stealth moving here were coaster enthusiasts, they didn't even announce the name of the ride until Dec. or Jan. And, Carowinds adds a new attraction every year. Or at least for the past decade and a half they have. It might not be anything to go ape sh*t about, but they have added something none-the-less.

um.......inncorrect!!!!
Stealth moving to Carowinds was very poular around july/august. I think Carowinds would have told us what is coming in 2005 by now.

Let me add my two cents here: The park was to have announced their 2005 plans before now but due to "themeing" and other issues, it hasn't. When you see the season pass mailer, you should have a pretty good idea of what's coming next year. Please, just be patient!

As far as Stealth, the coaster (move) was announced at a media event in August. The name/theme was announced in Jan. Before they make these announcements, they have to make sure everything is checked and double checked before unveiling their plans.

Be lucky that Paramount announces early (not that they have to do that.) Some parks wait until the next year to say what they're getting. If Carowinds did that, the whining around here would never stop.

Now that i think of it if we were to get a Flying Scooters ride wouldnt we get PGA's Flying Scooters ride because i thought that they got rid of it also for BB
