For some of our older posters (myself included) might remember a small little "coaster" that was over where the helix is on Top Gun now.

I've heard rumors that it's still sitting in storage at PC.

But my question is... who built it? Does anyone know? I don't recall ever seeing one like it anywhere.

And why doesn't it count as a coaster? It had a track, a train it was partially powered by gravity, it's a coaster in my book.

^^Manufactured by Schwarzkopf, Germany. Also goes by the trade names Swiss Bobs & Bayern Curve. Here is a view of one with an different theme.

BTW, PCWo removed theirs too and I'm pretty sure PKI removed theirs as well.

You must be too young to remember just how prolific these rides use to be. Just about every fair or carnival had a Swiss Bob ride at one time. They aren't as popular now as they use to be. Too many high tech rides make them look rather boring to most people.

Maybe someone else will tackle the "Is this a coaster?" question......

Thanks for the info. :) Cool. Another Schwarzkopf! :)

I didn't get into coasters and such until I was in my late teens.

My parents also never went to fairs, so that's probably why I don't recall seeing any of them.

I think that the MB Pavilion had one as well.

Don't know why, but I say no to it being a coaster.
