Six Flags Great Adventure Press Release
Six Flags Great Adventure will launch the tallest, fastest roller coaster on earth and new jungle domain with tiger exhibit for 2005
New Additions Represent Largest Expansion in Park’s 30-Year History

Jackson, N.J. (September 29, 2004) - Six Flags Great Adventure will launch the tallest and fastest roller coaster on earth, the keystone of a new, mythical jungle kingdom, which will also feature an elaborate children's area and massive tiger exhibit for the 2005 season.

"The announcement today represents the largest expansion in the 30-year history of Six Flags Great Adventure," Kieran Burke, Six Flags, Inc. CEO, explained. "Six Flags Great Adventure is already the world's largest regional theme park, and this record-breaking new capital marks the first step in transforming this park into a true family destination."

The new roller coaster will shatter all existing world records for speed and height by legendary proportions. Truly the "King of Coasters," Kingda Ka will rocket riders horizontally from 0 to 128 mph in 3.5 seconds before vertically catapulting them a mind-blowing 456 feet (45 stories) into the sky at a 90-degree angle. After a brief moment in the clouds, riders descend 418 feet (41 stories) back down to earth in a 270-degree spiral, only to experience another breathtaking moment of weightlessness as they soar over a 129-foot-tall hill (nearly 13 stories) and then glide back into the station.

Notice the addition of six extra "O"s onto the word "so". This is obviously a failed attempt at comedy.

Did you come to that conclusion all by yourself or did you have to contact all of your park "sources" to confirm it......

If it is a success, than it will be cool. But in the same breath look at the problems dragster has had this year. Who knows maybe they will get it up and going.

Okay. I know that it says that it shatters all records, but it really doesn't. 36 feet isn't a whole lot to say it shatters records. And 8 mph. I can easily go 8 mph in a sprint (I can do 100 meters in 14 seconds, and Ive did a 200 in 26 seconds.) So, basically, this is a clone of TTD, except the extra hill, the OTS harnesses, and the 3.5 sec acceleration. I hope to eventually go to CP to ride TTD .And I know that it wont be the record holder by the time by the time I get up there to CP. So, it looks cool and all, but it's basically a clone of TTD. Would I ride it, yes. Would I love it. Yes. But, would I make a special trip to go ride it, maybe. It depends how good the reviews are and how much it id down. I agree with Trev's pic. and his statement.

This also looks cool. Its called MeadowlandsXanadu. Its a mall, with a 300 foot roof top ferris wheels, a rollercoaster, 18-hole golf course, indoor sky diving, indoor skiing, arcades, movie theaters, and shops. There's lots more, so just click here.
