My daughter and I had a great time at Scarowinds. This was her first time
at any kind of "haunted house" thing. She was scared at first, but when she
realized that the monsters couldn't touch her she had a great time.
*Nightmare Manor was the best haunted house I've ever been in.
*Dracula's Castle was OK. We liked it even though we overheard some people
saying it was lame. My 6 year old would have liked it. I think it should be
available during the day in October. (I know it's part of Scarowinds though)
*Sleepy Hollow Horror was a great haunted trail. Watch that bulldog!
*Alien Crypt 3D was cool. It was hard to wear the glasses and watch out for
what was around every corner at the same time. :unsure: If the lines weren't so long,
we would've done it again.
*Alcatraz Escape was OK. Loud and disorienting.
*Jason's Extreme cuts. This one we could've done without. I'm not into those
kind of movies. My daughter and I kept our eyes covered throughout most of it.
The audience was the best part.
ThunderRoad and Goldrusher were fabulous. A totally different experience in
the cold dark night.
It was crowded, but the atmosphere was festive and it was everything I wanted
it to be.
I loved the PumpkinHead character.
We can't wait to see what they do next year! Life's no fun without a good SCARE!
