:D After sitting around work thinking (and bored as ever!) I decided to come up this thread. This is like your one shot to let the park know what you think should **consider** doing to make the park experience better. Whether it be adding an attraction, taking something out, or re-arranging something this is your shot to have your voice heard. Just to help you out a tad the structure should be:

1)Identify your proposal.
2)How it should be executed.
3)How it will benefit the park.

Think of this as your only chance to “shine” and let the park know how the GP feels about some things. Keep in mind to keep it in the realm of possibility and reality ;) . And don’t feel a shame to post your feelings and suggestions because no one is going to judge your suggestion because its just your feelings and thoughts! B)

**update** feel free to comment but keep in mind this is only our opinions so one shouldnt be criticized. However feel free to "question" one's opinion!

Scooby-Doo 3-D:The mystery of Blake Manor.
Remove SpongeBob or install 3-D cameras on the other side of the Action F/x.
Set the film in "Coolsville", using the animated characters from Scooby-Doo:Where are you. Have Scooby crash into the title and "Rut-ro", a scene with Daphane falling down a hole and being saved by you, and a runaway Mystery Machine scene.

We would have two good videos, instead of just Days Of Thunder.

^Days of thunder sucked.

I propose the installation of a Huss Delerium across the pathway from the NFSS and next to that funnel cake shop.

I think they should take out frenzoid and start to build to the side of thunderroad in an expansion for a new County fair.

1) I would ;put first a ferris wheel probaly where frenzoid sat.
2) Move some of the sidewalk game stands to over there.
3) Put a tilt-a-whril
4) Put some other thrill rides on the other side of the FX Theater.(Whitch is the expansion)

And also some of a old NC/SC state Fair theme. :D

I would also start expanding the park out past Thunder Road.

Ok i know this is going to sould like alot and will never happen but go with me here ok.

1) I would remove WWF & Frenzoid and put the Footloose floorless coaster in that spot. Move Drop Zone to that area and re-theme & re-name the area to Studio Backlot. A themed section of rides named after paramount movie of course.
Really all that would have to be done is move DZ and it can't be that hard.

Oh btw: Keep frenzoid just move it to a different section & Place a Huss Frisbee where the swings use to be.

2) Add 2 flats to Thrill Zone and totally re-configure the TZ area and expand a little to make room for a possible hyper coaster. If we get Go carts then TZ is the place they should go and of course name it Days Of Thinder like PKI.

3) Totally remove the Backlot picnic area and move the Season pass building outside the park and turn that area into a whole new themed area with a few flats, games, restruant and place 2 small coasters there like an Impulse & a Boomerang or one coaster like the Italian Job coaster.

One Picnic area is more than enough for one park plus i like the other area better cause everything it all together and not spread out like the Backlot area wasting space imo.

4) Expand Water Works into the employee Parking and through or around the back of TR adding about 10 new slides. I can't really think of a good theme off the top of my head right now so i'll go with Boomerang Bay. I like the name anyway.

5) Tear down the campground (i really don't think the park was makeing money off it anyway) and make all that employee parking and a total makeover of the security post & employee entrance.

6) Later on down the line sometime i would purchase the land behind hurler if they don't own it already and purchase the land all the way around to the mall and even tear down the mall. This would make room for a ton of improvements and a new themed area or 2.

Through all this i would also make general park improvements like flower beds, shaded area, benches, new paint on everything that need is (Cough Cyclone cough) plant lost of trees and expand the parking lot to the mall space and add in tram service.

Oh (and i'm sure the park would love me for this) and after all that raise addmission to ohhhh say $45-$49.00 and Parking to $10.00. Leave food, drink & merchindise prices alone, there already high enough. $50 for a polo shirt, i mean come on.

Ok i think thats about it. Like i said it's alot but it can very easily be done in just a matter of 15 years. I think i even added only 3-4 new coasters and 2-4 new flats. No bad i must say.

Thats what i would do if i owned Carowinds but i don't so i guess we'll just see what they have in store for us over the next 15 years. Those are just what my plans would be for the next 15 years.

Not every thing is ride oriented. I'll refrain from using the "H Word" or my idea of sending all the Nicktoons out the front door. Here goes:

1) Even though I'm not really a show person, I'd use such Paramount properties (ie: Grease, Footloose, some of the old musicals etc.) and create shows around them. No hokey jokes like in the Magic of the Movies train wreck.

Its very rare that I go into shows at parks. Probably the only one that I had been in before the MofM show this year, was some horror oriented show in Harmony Hall. This was probably 1983. I'm serious. They used the Creepshow theme in it and we had just watched it the night before. Really weird. I know some folks really like shows and its a great break from a usual hectic day at the park.

2) I know everybody has about drove the notion of remodeling County Fair and Thrill Zone into the ground. I'd almost wipe out all of what's left of the CF themeing and make a *new* themed area. (Just because you remodel one area doesn't mean you have to keep the same moniker.) Tear out FX Theatre and combine it with the space that the swings was in and you'd have a nice area to put a decent sized attraction in. There's even some space beside Thunder Road that could a flat maybe.

3) I would have extended Carolina Boardwalk all the way down to the Hurler/Thrill Zone. Its not a bad *little* area. It could have been designed bigger and really deserves to be bigger. I could see a "boardwalk" area that extends in the pathway down to the Hurler.

4) As far as the Paladium goes, why not more mainstream concerts like they use to have? Look at some of the concerts at the actual House of Blues. They have some top artists from time to time. The Paladium would be the perfect stop for the popular groups that aren't big enough for say Verizon or the old Coliseum. Team up with VH1 Classic and bring some of the tours they co-sponsor there. Give us old fogies something to rock to!

5) Lower the prices on the merchandise, etc. (I know this will never happen.) I really wanted one of those Borg cups last year. But, 8.99 for it? Sure the refills was a good idea but I didn't want to get straddled with keeping up with the cup all day. I saw some decent shirts but I just felt like they weren't worth the price.

6) The only thing I'd move would be the FSS into the waterpark.

7) I was gonna suggest booting the Nick characters and retheme the front to something more Carolina-ish...but then, you have this monstrosity called BorgAss sitting right in the middle of the park. That's one problem I have with licensed properties...they're not always going to stand the test of time.

The only thing that I do like about that remodel is the fact that it seemed to open up that area more.

8) If they're going to do areas based on movie/tv properties, choose them wisely and on things that will stand the test of time. Congo was a modest hit but it would make a decent themed area. I shudder at the thought of a "Titanic" ride.

Okay..enough rambling...its back to changing the litter boxes...

I enjoyed the Beach Party & Turn it up show. Maybe thats because i knew half the cast. The shows didn't get bad until they walked out on the park close to the end of the season.

Alright Time To Take Some Notes

Paramount Plaza:

-Shade
-Maybe update the movie walk of fame path
-Lower some prices around the shops
-As For Borg add a Camera. The perfect place i would think would be right when you enter the loop when you feel all the G's
-Rip Roarin Rapids hmmm how bout we get some real rapids let make it crazy (But At a Safety Regulation) put a waterfall not in a building but make it look more like a cave.

Carolina Showplace

-Turn into Carolina Boardwalk simple as that there two rides in that area and thats it. Might as well just retheme it there isnt much there.

Thrill Zone

- Hmmm take out the Skyflyer you dont even own it, its just there maybe put a slingshot.
-Hurley hmmm how bout lets give it just little bit more a R&R so we can keep it smooth. I would say put a loop after the drop but lets just keep the smooth for right now.

Carolina Boardwalk

-TAKE OUT THE CYBER SAYS (3D Thing) Enough on that
-Maybe add a Tug Boat Ride Maybe add something like this
Image

This unique, Mardi Gras parade float rocks riders forward and backward on a specially designed U-shaped track. Just when guests think they have it all figured out, the ride's signature spin kicks in.

Water Works
-Paint the Concrete something like blue to cool it down
-More Slides- A Proslide would be nice

County Fair

-Either Update or demolish AFX so maybe get some count fair type rides like a Zipper, and then you could bring back are swings and ragin bull i think i cant remember what it was called
-Take out Frenzoid and put a Huss Frisbee simple as that.

RFD

-Not much really i like it how it is. Just add maybe some small flat ride to compensate for Top Gun and simple as that.

Nick Central/Animation Station

-I like the start of it keep it up.
-THE BIGGEST THING DO NOT CHANGE SCOOBY DOO'S NAME
-You Ask why well since you Viacom own Nickelodeon well how bout of Nickelodeon
make a show for Scooby Doo so you dont have to change it .

For The Future

-Flats, Flats, Flats
-Hyper, Hyper, Hyper
-Lower, Lower, Store Prices

I like some of the idea except for painting the concrete in Water Works.

Parks should never paint the footpaths because after a season they look like crap and you just have to re-paint it again, Maybe even more than once a season.

I think Carowinds learned their less with Nick Central around RRR. They painted the paths different colors and the planter walls as well and after that first season they realized it was a bad idea and if you noticed they have not painted the paths since.

I hate to say this, but didn't I start the exact same type of thread late last year ??? ;)
