Basically it places responsibility on the riders, so if you are being a moron and you injure yourself, it will be difficult to sue the park. Should just be another complication for Carowinds, since it will only affect half of the park.

I think this could really benefit the amusement parks in Myrtle Beach. (And half of Carowinds, anyway  )

I wonder if NC will follow soon after so the whole park will be included.

Hopefully NC will follow suit.

SC usually is more conservative than NC, so it might take a while to happen.

I think it's a good idea though.

So how would that work on Thunder road? You only have to follow these rules on one half the ride? that could put complications on it. :D  How would you enforce it on the whole ride? :D

Unless they decided to change state lines so Carowinds would only be in one state, it should be put in SC. NC gets too much attention already. Of course, SC does have Myrtle Beach, one of the most popular tourist beaches in the US...and The Patriot was filmed here...and I live here...and it was the first to secede from the Union...idk. I would like it in SC, but...actually, it's just fine between states.

Well, to save confusion, should this go into effect on both sides of carowinds since it is one park?

^^ It wouldn't work like that.

The park has to pay NC and SC taxes because they are in both states. So they have to follow both states laws for either side.

It's funny that if I walk to the NC side and make a call it's local, but if I walk to the SC side, it's long distance!

NC has some pretty strict laws concerning ride safety. I've heard time & time again from contractors at Carowinds that cringe whenever a new ride is announced for the NC side of the park. It's almost to the point of being rediculous.

Believe me, if Ricochet were on the SC side of Carowinds, it would be running completely different than it is now. It was originally planned to operate just like the one at Hersheypark, in the sense that the cars would continue to slowly roll through the station while riders load and unload. NC said, NO WAY~! But, they've been doing it that way at Hershey for years without incident.....

Well if they change state lines, Carowinds should be in NC, considering that all the offices are in NC...

With this saftey bill, isn't SC just catching up with NC? just my thought.

Actually, I think we are catching up to SC, they are the ones ahead. We still don't have a lottery.
