Wasn't the min-railroad at one time a diesel train and not a steam engine?

You've got it mixed up a little bit....the Steam Engine was actually steam-powered many years ago. At some point they gutted it out and put a diesel engine in the boiler.

Now it looks like a steam locomotive on the outside, but inside it's actually a diesel. (Kind of like what Six Flags Over Georgia did to their two steam locomotives this past year.)

This is a picture of the of miniature train back when it was still steam powered (from bgwfreak's Carowinds pages)

I think the miniature train was converted to diesel when the park removed the big Carowinds & Carolina RR steam trains in 1976, because all the park's locomotive maintenance equipment was sold off at that time.

Thanks, I can't be right all the time. I wonder if they will paint "Azul" blue?
