I just attended a special sneek preview of the show tonight at Carowinds. I went into the show tonight with somewhat high expectations but it is a Paramount show. Boy was i wrong. The the basically ROCKED from beginning to end.

I was a little worried at first when the first song started bad, I thought it was kinda average until i realized it was part of the show, It was after that the band really kicked butt.

The song selection for the show was awsome, alot of my favorite song. The cast was incrediable but a down side was that cast tonight will not be the cast for the season. The group was a real country band and they are touring now, I never got the band's name but they were awsome. I just hope Carowinds can find some talent that good. The show will be awsome with any cast imo.

Throughout the show clips from the movie were shown to buld up the show at some points, The whole storyline & plot was perfect. I don't want to give too much away so you want know what to expect when the public gets to see it. All i'll say is go in with high expectations and think of it as not your typical Paramount show.

I personally thought SoR was just as good if not better than some of the Disney/Universal shows and that i was not expecting.

The whole feel of the show was outstanding. The lights were awsome and there are a ton of them. The stage was set up very nicely, It was just like being at a real rock show but sadly it only lasted 30 min.

The show had great special effects lots of pyrotechnics (if i speeled that right) towards the end of the show. I would suggest that everyone see this show if they are at the park or even imo i would make a special trip to the park just to see the show.

All in all again i was over impressed. I was not expecting such a high quality, high energy show with such an outstanding cast. My overall rateing of the show from 1-10 would be an 11.

The best show that Carowinds has ever had.

Thanks for the review. I'm definitely gonna have to check that out now. Just out of curiosity, what were some of the songs?

How did you get a preview of something that doesn't open until June 18, and the Season Pass preview hasn't happened?

The preview tonight was for employees and for all the paramount big wigs. Lotys of corprate people around.

Sorry jonathan, I can't recall what songs now, for some treason they have already slipped my mind but if i remeber any i'll let you know.

Some of the songs were current rock and some were old rock. A nice mix of both.

I'm going to see it again tomorrow and i'll get some song names for you

So they are not doing the title song from the movie?

I guess they can't sing the title song because of the the kid's
line "kick some a$$".

We are really looking forward to that show because it is one of
my daughter's favorite movies. At least they are doing "Back in Black"
and other classic tunes. Wish they would do "Long Way To The Top"
and that song Dewey Finn wrote about "the rent". Thought that was
funny. Very cute movie. My kids learned to "read between the lines".

Yep, we plan to "stick it to the man" June 18 at the 11:00 performance.

That sounds awsome. I love school of rock, and i love rock! Thats got some great songs in it like Back in Black. Too bad they didnt do any KISS. Now i want them to do school of metal, bring out the red, white, and CRUE, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, etc. lol \nn/ (ghetto rock on symbol)

Too bad I was sick with an ear infection, I would have gotten to see this as well.

It sounds like it's a good show, plus I love all the late 70's/80's rock music and the movie was good too. (As I am listening to Cheap Trick)
