2006 - Boomerang Bay - Rumor - (4/29/05) Screamscape has received a rumor confirming that plans may indeed be in the works to redevelop the waterpark area into another themed Boomerang Bay waterpark like the ones at Paramount’s Great America and Kings Island. The timing would seem to work well after installing Borg in 2004 and revamping the kiddie area in 2005.

Found that on Screamscape. Their rumors are usually pretty true. I hope that it does become a reality. WW really needs a revamp as does Country Fair.

I am 99% sure that Boomerangs will fly in 2006. As for our fair, I am looking at 2007 for it or a new coaster. Mark my words, by 2009. The Frenzoid will gone.

While I won't be surprised if this is indeed true, how do you figure that their rumors are usually true? I mean, I'm not intending to bash Lance here or anything, but if you send in a rumor that sounds remotely reasonable, it's going to be posted.

What I mean is that most of the rumors (not all) eventually do come ture sometime afterward. It might be a year of two, but it just seems that way.

I will say this, I am going by the park and not Screamscape. Actions speak louder than words. It is ashame my ex-girlfriend didn't learn that. LOL.

Sounds to me like Roller did not get him any play from his ex. Well there is always Rosey and her five sisters.

I don't want any play from any girl, I just want a girl that will actaully talk to me, and can go out on dates. I am 17 years old, but I am still not ready to "dance on the mattress". We better get back on topic before I get in trouble. I am hoping that Boomerang Bay includes a ProSlide Tornado.

Could be true, Screamscape rumors are sometimes true but they are also just as false. I guess will just have to wait and look for construction after water works closes.

We aren't going to see construction after the WaterWorks closes. Chances are we wouldn't see construction at SCarowinds. The best thing to look for is little things missing not big items.

I would say this rumor is probably true if for no other reason than the fact that earlier this year i did a survey for carowinds that was all waterpark based. I would be willing to bet next year will be an expansion of the water park (not around thunder road as thought, this wouldnt be feasable, but there were talks of removing frenzoid and whitewater falls and expanding it to that area). When it is done, it will be rethemed to Boomerang Bay. The person who is currently working with carowinds travels from park to park that need help, stays a few years, gets them built up to be better parks, then heads off to another park. Last year we got BORG, this year, redone kiddie area, next year water park, then i think he will probably leave as the park should be going strong by then. Though a Delierium would be nice down in that paved area by Hurler and the Skycoaster (hook us up for 2006 dude)

The waterpark will not go around Thunder Road, and possibley not under it. Carowinds has to have the gate next to Thunder Road to take deilervies to the parking lot for construction.

Since we are on the topic of the Waterpark, can season pass holders bring a guest to the preview?
