I was at the park Saturday night with some friends and noticed a few new things. One was there is a refreshment stand of some sort now in front of Scooby's Haunted Mansion. It didn't have a sign on it yet but was open, although I didn't go up to see exactly what they had there.
Another thing was that the refreshment stand nearest White Water Falls now has a Chik-fil-a sign on it, although it didn't appear to be open. I figured they moved it from the old Jalapenos / Taco Bell location but that one was still up and running when we went by later that night. That seems a bit odd to have 2 of them in the park, and they're not really that far from each other as they're basically on opposite ends of the walkway under BORG.
I'm not sure if they were doing this all day, but they were having people go through the metal detectors differently when I went in. They had everyone go through the large detectors without removing things from their pockets, etc., and were just wanding the people who had the detector go off. This seemed to be a MUCH quicker way to do it, so I hope this becomes the standard procedure, at least on busy days. This may have just been a staffing issue or something, we'll see.
