Yes, I know White Lightnin' has been gone for almost 20 years now. However, I just found out that it is now SBNO. :(

They say it is to reopen in december 05. And don't forget that is summer for them. :D

Schwarzkopf shuttle loops aren't exactly low maintenance. (I understand it's particularly bad with the weight-drop models)

Perhaps the park is just doing some sort of major refurbishment on the ride, like what Six Flags did with Viper when it was moved from SFOG to SFKK...

History:  A sign in front of the Golden Loop states it is closed for "General Maintenance". The parks website states it is scheduled to reopen in December 2005.

Oh thank god, You scared me for a min there rollernut. Hopefully this coaster will outlive me.

They should just tear it down and ship it back to Carowinds.

That park has had problems with Golden Loop (aka White Lightnin') since day one. I know someone who went to that park twice and both times it was down for maintenance. But I will have to hand it to the park for saving this ride from the scrapyard.
