Its almost time for the Golden Ticket awards! This is a series of awards given out by Amusement Today for the theme park industry. One of the more "unofficial" goals of the remodeling is to get the Golden Ticket for Best Kids Area. PKI has gotten it for several years. So, what's a little friendly competition between parks?

So, if you know anybody who votes in this, tell others on other websites (Troll Network, CB, URC, etc.) to vote for Carowinds' Nick Central for the best kids area! (Its a way of saying Thanks for the flyers! LOL)

I'm including a link to last years <a href='http://www.amusementtoday.com/image/GoldenTicket2004.pdf' target='_blank'>2004 Golden Ticket Awards</a> winners.

This years ballot was waiting on me when I got back from the Midwest Coaster Conquest. And yes, Carowinds is in position one for best Kid's Area.

Too bad I don't know anybody. lol

I think PC has done an amazing job with Nick Central and deserves to at least make it on to the Top 5 list.

I plan to vote for Carowinds as having the "Best Kid's Area" in the AT Park & Ride Survey. I truly think they deserve it. They did an incredible job transforming the area to Nick Central.

There may be some other categories that PCWi would qualify for. Looking at the survey, they also want your favorite top 10 wood & top 10 steel coasters, best waterpark, best waterpark ride, cleanest park, park with best Halloween Event, park with best food, best shows, best water ride (not in a water park), best dark ride, best souveniers, best game area, friendliest staff, best landscaping, best outdoor night show production and best overall theme/amusement park.

The way for people to vote is in the file that I linked to. I just hope that every nut-case just doesn't apply to vote in the awards. After all, it does ask for "well traveled enthusiasts."

Well, that exludes me.
