Decided to get our Season Passes today because I really needed to release some stress. Bought them at the park and was the routine processing.
Are we ever going to get the parking lot fixed? Or just a little bit more sprucing up?
Walked into the park and got a souvenir cup for the year at Plaza Funnel Cakes. Lemonade was good. While waiting in line for our drink, some kid's basketball popped. Very loud bang sound frightened many of the guests cos it sounded like a gun shot. We giggled afterwards.
After getting our drink...Immediately to the Top Gun. But took the other route this year because we wanted to see the Shooting Star and where they put it.
Noticed the placement of the Basketball Game in front of the Skytower. I think it cheapens the park personally, but there were a lot of people there so maybe it will do well.
Went through Borg Underpass and over to County Fair. Nothing in particular stood out.
Got to County Fair... The placement of the Shooting Star is still growing on me. But its kool... kinda feels kinda cramped. But there is still space.
I especially like how Top Gun "Rolls by Southern Star" It kinda gives it that "Watch OUT" feeling. Love it.
Decided at this point to start finding all the smoking Joints while waiting in line. I'm impressed with the added amount of Smoking Areas.
Top Gun was great as always. Rode the Back Car as always. Especially loved the puddle of pollen in the parking lot this year. I should have taken the hint at that point that maybe i should take something. But nonetheless, loved the ride as always. Much smoother this year. I meant to check the paint job but didn't think to. No mist yet, but maybe soon. Glad to see the cameras are gone.
Got off and headed over to Thunder Road. Forwards. Yay Preteens! But anyways Rode Second Car. We were able to race this time. And the syncing of our cars went very well... Better than usual. Maybe some Cedar Fair majick was sprinkle on while we were gone? Our car won. And the ride was quite smooth this time.
Upon leaving, it was time to smoke. So stopped by the Smoking area near Shooting Star. I miss watching the White Water Falls though... maybe that one will come back soon. Also took note of which toys we will see dangling in the wind a couple months from now. Debating on the Fake Big Care Bears at this point.
Decided to skip Southern Star as it is just the Frenzoid and I never was a fan of Frenzoid before anyways. I'll ride it sometime in the season.
Next over to Gold Rush. Along the way took note of the new smoking areas. Also found out that there is a Panda Express in the park now. Yippee!
The Super Saturater was running WITH water. Thought that was kool. The ride we saw all four people decided to Squirt the line. Awesome splashage.
Got on Gold Rush. I won't talk about the comments made while waiting in line that we were making. Was annoyed by some loudmouthed kids though. Went slower than usual but dug it though like always. It hasn't had time for its pipes to heat up yet... Expect that one to be better as the season progresses and it gets hotter outside. Noticed a couple rocks were thrown on the old skyway block.
Left the ride and went over to Cyclone. Totally dug the new way the ride entered. I tend to follow this path often on my trips to the park so this set me up quite well, better than before.
Lets fence off a seating area
Cyclone was empty as most of the rides were today. We went straight on to the last car. It was still fun though. Im going to try it next time with my eyes closed like the girl in front of us did today. Actually paid attention to the boneyard to my right today and was diggin it. Saw the Hearse from Scarowinds.
Left the ride then over to Hurler. Went to the Hurler.
Hurler was quite popular today. They really changed the staff on the ride though... to say the least. Much older crowd working it. We were annoyed by some kid saying Danger over and over again in a really annoying voice. I wanted to punch him.
We went to wait in line for the first car. VERY VERY Smooth ride today on Hurler. I also LOVED the airtime we got on it. At this point though my allergies were really getting to me.
When we left hurler, we then went to smoke at the new smoking area near Drop Zone. Loved it.
We then decided to leave... It was around 5PM. We had actually came to the park around 3. As we were travelling through the park we took notice of the new look of the plant covered walkway.
Other News about the Park:
YAY NEW TRASHCANS!!!!!!!
This was obviously the highlight of our day. And god they were all over the place. Granted it seemed strange but it really made the park feel clean. So couldn't complain there.
Bigger Park Map - Totally dug this. Things looked as if they were much more easily findable for the non regular to the park.
Same music as always. They played Adams Family as we walked out the park. This made the hubby happy.
No Top Gun movie as of right now.
Sponge Bob Square Pants 3D is still there??????

All in all totally dug it today. Just minor gripes. I'm glad the park is still open til 8 during the week in the summer time.
