I went to the park with my friend yesterday. Here is a report of the coasters and how many times we rode them. We rode in this order aswell (except the re-rides, we did those after doing each one).

Top Gun: The best coaster there. Smooth and fast! Yet, something lacked in it that Talon had. I'm not sure what though. x7, 9/10

Thunder Road NC: Very nice. It was smooth and good. Not to much airtime though. x1, 7.5/10

Thunder Road SC: Terrible. This ride made my stomach hurt really bad. It was so bumpy and the restraint slammed into me so much. x1, 4/10

Carolina Cobra: Bumpy and not good at all. Total disappointment. Sidewinder at Hershey is so much smoother. Atleast this was just rough and not painful thanks the the new restraints. x1, 6/10

Carolina Goldrusher: I think I like this better then trailblazer but it was much rougher. x1, 7.5/10

Carolina Cyclone: Much rougher then last year. All the rides seemed to be running oddly rough this day. The first time the lift caught a snag as we were going up and it was extremely scary, probably the only time I've been scared on a smaller coaster. The car felt like it popped off the tracks. But still fun. x2, 7/10

Hurler: Would have been better had it not crushed my balls on the pull-out of the drop. There was a guy in front of me who kept standing up though... x1, 7/10

Scream Weaver: This was my first enterprise and my friend sat out on this so I went on alone. It was fun but gave me a small headache afterward. x1, 8/10

Vortex: This was a fun ride except two things, The straddle and the extremely tight corkscrew top. x2, 8/10

Nighthawk: Super long wait. First time it broke down as we were waiting, second time it broke down as we were going up the lift. We were stuck for about 3 minutes. It was fun but it was really rough during the heartlines. Oh, and the first time I got a black eye from where the pad thing was stuck and it flew out and the seatbelt hit my eye. x2, 8/10

Runaway Reptar: This was my favorite in the park when I was little. It had alot of head banging though. It was alright. x1, 6/10

Fairly Odd Coaster: Me and my friend sat in the back on this to try to get as much fun as possible. The seats are like 1 1/2 people long since this is basically a small child ride. So we had to sit different rows. I had to sit sideways since the train was to short for me. It had some good airtime though in the back. x1, 6.5/10

So yeah, it was a pretty fun day, filled with many cups of the free water! Most of my pics are from the skytower and I did get some 2010 construction pics. Another thing related to the construction, as I was coming back today I noticed a truck that was the exact same as the trucks that brought to KD. Something Lolyd, I can't remember. It was heading south on I-85 towards Carowinds. Is this one of Cedar Fairs company's they use since it brought track for Maverick too? Track might be at Carowinds! Anyways I havn't been home long today so I don't have my pics uploaded yet. I'll get them later.

I'm not familiar with Talon, but having looked into it after reading this I very much want to be. The idea of silencing the coaster intrigues me... is it noticeably quieter that Afterburn?

Also, I can't resist... How old are you? I read that part about Runaway being your favorite ride when you were little and I had to re-read it several times before it sunk in that I've been going to the park longer than I thought. Scooby Doo, er... "Fairly Odd Coaster," was my favorite when I was little. Mostly because inverted coasters didn't exist to me until I was 13 and Reptar didn't come around until I was 17...

Ah! I thought it was just me that it happened to... EVERY time we go over the second hill, my crotch gets some serious pressure.

Last time I went, there was this old lady in the front row that kept standing up. She got kicked out of the park after the 3rd run. :]

^^Yes, VERY. Talon is WAY quieter then Top Gun. TG and vortex have to be the loudest B&M's I've heard. And I'm 14.

^Haha, last year this didn't happen.

I was there that day, I left early, at like 4:30, cause I was way too tired cause of jet lag. I had just gotten back from Southern California after an overnight flight. It was not a good idea to go to Carowinds straight from the airport, lol.
