Well since I live in columbia I spent over a hour driving to the park but this was picture worthy...apparently someone's been listening to too much beyonce "ego" and decided to let the world (who drives behind them) they have a gib ego...how lame...and on an impala of all things!

Anyway moving on the the reason for this report...coasterstock...
I got to the park a little around 7:50 after getting a late start this morning. The entrance sign looks pretty good and apparently some BMX riders are gonna be preforming at the park. (trying to be like freestyle park I see
)

I really didnt know what to expect because I think, correct me if im wrong, this was dani's first event at carowinds and since I havent been to a coaster event since the change over to boombay I was kinda out of the loop at what was the "norm" now for coaster events...
While pulling up to the park I noticed no one was at the front of the park. Thats a good thing because I guess reg. went smoothly and it wasnt a gagglefuc...uhhh...mehiem at the north gate...

After getting my ticket from the window ticket operating lady, and giving my address, hey what was the special gift we were "suppose" to get when we got there...the cobra pins?, I finally made it into the park...

For some reason I like taking early morning pictures of the park with no other people in it...anyway moving right along, but first a look at n(br)ighthawks paint job...

And apparently there is something coming to the park in the future that will make people come to a coaster event and pay, banking on an exclusive announcement that would fail epically for the park since it would be no news stations there...

Whatever it is, it makes the paths kinda thinner...

After chatting some with dani I went over to the flyers since I havent been on them in a while...The flyers were as fun as I remember. Very snappable and the location couldnt be better being surrounded by the trees. Finally got to meet the anthony everyone was talking about...

Didnt get the picture of his side kick but she reminded me of the lady at church that reads the church announcements and say "to our visitors have a blessed day and remember you are always welcomed back" lol. That had to be some of the best ride time I have ever had on the flyers.

After riding n(br)ighthawk ONCE...I stayed around the front of the park waiting for the next scheduled event...

(lol...even though paramount has left the building the spirit still lives on lol)

While waiting I decided to take some shots of the construction, where from ground there isnt crap to see...

Now it was time for part one of the jeporady.

Whootah vs. the cold butter on a hot biscuit plate...

With jay on team whootah thought that the biscuits and gravy didnt have a chance...

But little did they know, knotts berry farm is still around because this guy just went there a week ago!

After dani put away her sorting hat the park was open to the muggles for the day. We decided to head to cobra before it breaks down...and get a ride in.

Some took advantage of their onride free photo but Im not really into the onride photos...except from tower of terror! After cobra we decided to take a spin on the ride that should just end after the first drop, but of course after the paint job, Carolina cyclone.

Great air time...on the main drop. After that headed to no-thrill zone lol. It seemed to be having a typical freestyle music park crowd...

took a ride on drop zone and after getting off, I pulled my camera that was securely stored in my pocket out and found this picture...and updated view of "the view" from drop zone...

Yeah, I know it looks different due to the log flume being removed. Hung around the park a little then it was time for the buffet and the major dissapointment for the coaster nerds who paid just to get an announcement lol. Walking back to the pavilion I was able to get yet another shot that you cant really see anything from. If it wasnt for the sky tower this ride would not get as much site play as it does because everything seems to be in a ditch.

and another...

While walking to the food we noticed this...(that some looser posted on their twitter acct and couldnt just wait til he got home to spread it on the web like herpes)

Man, the food was good, in particular the briskett. Alot of people stayed to theirselves but some did talk, like the guy and his wife who I forgot his screen name. He was really nice and a hybrid of an enthusiast and park guest. Dani did the q&a with uncle jerry and I forgot the other guys and apparently some people didnt get the "asking about something coming to the park that hasnt been announced is a coaster noob move" since every other question was about it. Atleast one question that jay asked about saturator was valid in my opinion. Oh yeah and the kid who wants that big drop and 5 loops was funny also. Its also good to note that the whatever is coming next year is 37 years in the waiting. See...E Pat Hall had the plans for it but couldnt find the right people to do it until now...
After the lunch I went found a restroom to blow up cause those beans were starting to get to me. P.S., the restrooms are really clean at the park lol, I decided to take this one last shot before my phone died...

Little did I know this shot would come in handly later on lol...
While the crew went to the flyers I went on a shopping spree at nick store. I ended up spending over 100.00 dollars on everything. It was getting time for the backstage tour so I headed over to drop zone (yeah I know im saying drop zone). The tour, for me as a person who is into coasters, was kinda mum, but for the general public it would have been a good treat. They got to see alot of the backstage that I, for the lack of bragging, have seen over and over at several parks due to going to a few events in my hayday, but its nice to know there is room for a 36 seat coaster train if need be in the maintance shop. I was accosted by 2 park employees who asked if we were the "guys who rates the rides at the park" After saying no and asking why and not getting anywhere I said "yes" and asked each which ride they worked on. After giving my "opinions" of their rides they just briskfully walked way without even saying goodbye or thanks! After the tour the gang decided to go to wild wings. It was some good eating, but not as good as that briskett. There we learn of allans concept for a new disney park, which we would code name "disney coaster wars" for the time being lol.
Now it was time to come back to the park for prize give aways. I was lucky enough to answer some question right (I dont even remember what the question was anymore) and I won a severly (well slightly) damaged spring from the SKY COASTER (but I was corrected by someone it was the skyflyer, you know who you are). once the park closed we started our ert. I rode hurler once and met arron "knottsberry farms is still open" lol. One ride was enough for me. Chatted some with a group rom kdfansite and express my fear of clint. Went rode top burn and thunder road, chatted some more with dani and the dude who apparently has seen the plans for the lazy river that will take you to and from the north and south gate that is opening next year.
Overall I had a good time and cant wait until the next event. I will post my opinions of the event in the coaster stock post war thread...that i am about to go create...
