I'm a season pass gold holder with a dining plan as is my entire family.
Tonight we went to the park as we do daily for a nice sit down dinner for fourth of July.
To my surprise the food portions were half of what we usually get!!! and I was so angry about this I should not have accepted the food and demanded to speak with the supervisor. (Alas I didn't )

We usually get the Chicken tenders meal that comes with the sidewinders fries and they give you a huge portion of the fries with 3 LARGE tenders. What we instead received was half the normal portion of fries and baby sized tenders!!

I thought it was just our plates so I looked around at other patrons getting tenders and they were all getting shafted. The whole family agreed that they cut the food back on 4th of July to save costs.

We live 5 minutes from Carowinds and basically go every day. So I'm well aware of the usual offerings in Harmony Hall.

I am really ashamed guys (Carowinds management). This is the day of your countries celebration and you know the crowds were going to be monumental. Why the heck would you cut back peoples portions? Especially on a celebration day?

I am so upset right now and really needed to vent. :x

I guess they always give less food out on holidays. Really nice way to do buisness. *Sarcasam*

My wife had this meal on July 4th and it was definitely enough to share with my son. Maybe we were just lucky.

I suppose it's possible that they purposely cut down portions for the holidays, but my guess is that they did so because they knew they weren't going to have enough food for everyone who ordered it. I mean I don't have any "inside info" or anything haha but I just wouldn't expect them to make the decision to give smaller portions just to save money. They already charge the customers much more than it costs them to buy/make/provide the food.
