What better way to start a new month than a trip to Carowinds? I arrived at the park a little later than I usually do, but at least I was kid free this time. The season pass lot was full when I got there at around 11am and I ended up in row 13 in the regular lot. I headed on over to intimidator for the first ride of the day, the line was in maybe the 3rd back n forth rows. I got 2 rides in early and decided to head on over to afterburn. I rode afterburn, line wasnt bad, then headed to southern star, and thunder road. After that it was time for some lunch so I headed over to wings and got some pizza n fries. Carolina Cobra's line was fairly long so I just skipped it. Didnt ride hurler either as the entire station was filled and only 1 train. I would like to note they were painting the transfer cover thing on the hurler. It looked like the queue bars and stuff were painted already as well. After this I just decided to walk towards intimidator, I was going to do snoopy on ice but today was the first day of "rock band live", which I didnt get to go to because I got sidetracked riding intimidator. I got to intimidator and to my surprise the line was only to the tunnel, so you guessed it, I got about 5 or 6 more rides in. By this time it was about 2:15 and the line was a little longer so I decided to leave. The intimidator crew was great today and I spoke to Kevin and he told me they were competing with kings island (diamondback) and canadas wonderland (behemoth) to see how many cycles they could get per hour (I think?) and I do know that they announced for the 1-2pm hr that we had 44 cycles, which is quite a bit! They were throwing the trains out like crazy today! I hope we won the competition, great job I-Crew! :D
