This is to keep busy whilst we await the arrival of tall supports.
Here is one of my favorite moments:
This past April, at SFGA, as my brother and I were waiting to get off the old wooden coaster next to El Toro (can't remember the name of it but the train got stuck a few feet from the platform so we had to sit there for a few minutes), we watched in morbid fascination while this maybe 7 year old kid with thick glasses and a hoodie scrunched up real tight over her head licked the horizontal metal pieces on the queue gate she and her father were standing at waiting to board. I mean, she was licking the entire length of the top railing--baaaack and forth, baaaack and forth, then she started in on the next one down. Her dad was totally oblivious as he chatted with someone else. Every few moments, she would pause and catch the eye of me and my brother, give us this weird maniacal-looking grin, and start licking again....baaaack and forth, baaaack and forth. Thank God the kid's mom wasn't there, she probably would have had a heart attack. Just think of the hands and feet that have been on those railings....or maybe it's best not to. Anyhow, we just about couldn't get out of the train we were laughing so hard. Ick.
