I didn't realize this until today, but in the renderings for Maverick there is a heartline-roll after the launch, but now, there just is an s-bend. Anyone know about this or have any before/after pictures?

They took it out, not sure of the reason, another one of intamins wonderful design flaws.... I cant remember if it was stress on the track or something about the trains or what it was....

RollerCoasterMommy had it right. Seems like I remember seeing somewhere or hearing from someone "in the know" that after the initial test runs it was pulling nearly SIX LATERAL G's in the inline so they were forced to remove it and replace it with the S-Bend.

Sounds like Disney's Space Mountain. I'm told, when it was new, they had to slow it down a bit also.
