Ok so most of you all know that I have been living in England for almost a year now. Well, I am moving back to NC at the beginning of May. This April before I leave my hubby is taking 2 weeks leave so that I can see more of the sights and go to a theme park here like I have been dying to do since I have been here. My only question is has anyone on this site been to Alton Towers and/or Thorpe Park? I have been having a hard time deciding which of the 2 I want to go to. If anyone has been to these parks which would you prefer?

Thanks. I have been having such a hard time choosing. They both have some pretty neat looking coasters that I would like to ride. Alton Towers has their new Thirteen but Thorpe Park has Saw The Ride. Alton Towers however is 9 pounds cheaper, but that's a bit when converting to dollars.

I would agree with J and say go to Alton Towers. Alton is so much above Thorpe. It is like Comparing Ghost Twn in the Sky to Disneyworld if you ask me.

Thanks. I'm hoping to make it to both but don't know how that is going to work since we are carrying my son to Lego Land and that is going to short up 160 American dollars.
