It was turned off. While it in no means stops the train, the brake (which was on for Spring Fling) slows the train in the perfect spot to "chunk" riders into the restraint and give that extra thrill. Right as the train starts to curve under the track is when is starts. Definately added a little more to the ride than without.

a pause means a stop...for example see Mystery Mine @ Dollywood...where the FIRST pause element before a beyond-vertical drop in the country resides...

That's good to know. I'll certainly have to ride it again next time I'm there since I was unable to attend Spring Fling.
