Wow its been a really long while since I have posted anything on here! I thought I would share my trip experience to Cedar Point, Kings Island, and Kennywood!!!

First off is Cedar Point!

We went to Cedar Point for Spring Conference with ACE and arrive Thursday May 17tg around 12pm. We upgraded our SP to Carowinds to platinum, so we were able to go to the park Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (ACE event was friday night, saturday, and sunday morning). All I can say about this park is AMAZING. The coasters are incrdible, the views are beautiful, and the food is fantastic! Now I wont go into deep detail on each coaster, but I can definately say its nothing like I have experienced in my life! TTD is an amazing coaster, very intense, and very fun as well. I was able to get 4 rides on it since it did break down during our ERT  Millennium Force was AWESOME and I must say I like it better than I-305! Raptor was incredible, very different than what I am used to with afterburn and I loved it! Mantis is a great stand-up with great G-Forces. Maverick was great, but the seats are VERY uncomfortable and the first time I rode it, my neck was very sore as its a pretty rough ride. I did learn what everyone was saying I - 305 is M-Force and Maverick combined!! Mean Streak had a frickin brake at the top of the drop so it KILLED that ride and it wasn't that great. Wicked Twister was probaly the coaster we rode the most, over and over again. That coaster is pretty sweet. Disaster Transport, well it was interesting, not the best but not HORRIBLE or anything. On another note Sky Hawk and MaXair are amazing flat rides. Didnt really do many other flat rides other than these... One thing is for sure... I will be back to this park next year, especially since I think they will be getting a B&M Wing Rider... We also got a backstage of Millennium Force, which ended up being at the Dinosaurs Alive area so we got to see that for FREE! Great Park and a great ACE event as well I loved the ERT!

Kings Island

Our next stop after cedar point was Kings Island. Luckily for us they were doing a preview of Soak City on Sunday for SP holders so we headed down and got there around 3pm and headed to the waterpark for a few hours. I really enjoyed the waterpark, although I do like our waterpark better. The big funnel slide thing that I wanted to do ended up closing so I didnt really do any other slides, they did have a neat selection though. The new version of their lazy river was nice, I like the interactive-ness of it with all the water sprayers etc. that people can use that are standing by. I wish Carowinds would add some of these features. On Monday we headed back to KI to actually go into the park and ride the rides. The first ride was Invertigo. This coaster wasnt to bad. Yes its basically the same thing as cobra, just suspended. Not a bad coaster at all but not the most thrilling or anything. Flight Deck was a nice coaster and it was better than Iron Dragon @ CP, especially at the end with the swing you get right at the brake run. The Beast was a great coaster, Vortex was rough, flight of fear was awesome as usual (had ridden the one at KD many times) I love going upside down with just a lapbar. Diamondback was obviously the most anticipated coaster at KI for us, so of course we rode it several times in a row. While I can say its a great coaster, I think intimidator is better. I do like some of the elements on diamondback and i like that the MCBR isnt as close to the end as ours, however, I like our 2nd hill drop and the turnaround much much better. The splashdown also didn't really do anything for me... Drop Tower was closed, but they did do some tests before the end of our day. I really liked KI and had a great time riding their rides and experiencing a different park.

Kennywood

After Kings Island we decided we might as well hit another park and learned Kennywood was opened and only 5hrs away... so why not... We headed to Pittsburgh PA. I must say this park is very nice, definately a change from the Cedar Fair parks. While this park dont have a lot of coasters, the ones they do have are pretty good. Sky Rocket wasnt bad, but the restraints hurt your ankles, oddly, but it was a good overall experience. The racer was pretty fun and its neat that its the only single track racing coaster. Jack Rabbit was packed with airtime and packed a much bigger punch than I thought it would.... Exterminator was just crazy. I liked being in the dark but when that thing starts spinning its slings you all around your seat and it kinda hurts. I actually enjoyed this coaster though. Phantoms Revenge of course is this parks signature coaster. This coaster is pretty good, it was a lot shorter than I was expecting but it had a ton of airtime and was probaly the smoothest arrow I have ever ridden  Overall the park was very nice and I have no regrets travelling to the park for the day it was worth it and was a fantastic experience.

I actually feel like it helps Intimidator a lot by having the MCBR where it is. It is after all the airtime hills so it doesn't effect the airtime like it does on Diamondback. I also agree that the splashdown adds nothing to the ride itself. Cool to look at when you are off the ride though.

Yea I mean in a way the MCBR is OK but I think the location of the MCBR maybe the biggest compaint because its right before the ending, I wish they could have just made it without one. One way or another though, I still like Intimidator better and its still one of my favorites, even after TTD and Millennium Force! Its so hard to decide what coaster is the best haha! I love em all

Well if Intimidator didn't have a MCBR, then it wouldn't be able to have 3 trains running, just two. I enjoy the incredibly high capacity of that ride! lol. I do agree that Intimidator is still one of my favorite coasters even after riding those two. Can't wait to ride Millennium Force and TTD in a little over two weeks!!!

Oh by the way, how is Fastlane at Cedar Point and Kings Island? Is it set up like it is at Carowinds now where the fast lane takes you to the station, or is it where the fastlane people can go straight to the train and pick where they want to sit in the train (making it impossible to get front seat if you don't have a Fast Lane)

I love Phantom. It's great at nite, especially when you don't realize that it's the 2nd drop that's over 200'.

And it's not really the smoothest Arrow, all of the Arrow track was removed except part of the brake run and the station track. I think they even replaced the lift track.

Not really sure how the fast lane worked as far as people getting on the ride, at CP the exits were mainly used for fast lane. I didnt see many people doing it so not sure if they get to get right on or what. Same thing with KI I didn't see anyone really using it so not really sure. Doesnt seem to be very popular, likely due to the price....
