LOL, that's funny. Wow, only $20. That really isn't bad.

At least you get a helicopter ride out of it. Image

I saw the sign for the chopper rides when I hit the park on Sunday, and was curious what they were charging but didn't stop in. I actually meant to, and to check out the mall itself, but had forgotten about it by the time I left Carowinds. Good to hear that the rides are somewhat reasonably priced for a short hop around the park. The rush of Connectioners trying to get pics of construction in the coming months might cause them to hike the prices, though. Gotta pay more for the fuel with enthusiasts on board, ya know. :D

I had my doubts about the place, since that mall had been so dead for so long. I guess I didn't expect the new owners to put in the amount of money they obviously have spent to freshen up the place, but I'm glad they did - it looks VERY nice and inviting. The "mini-store" concept probably works really well for them, and is probably giving a lot of small business owners a great opportunity to get started. Not sure it really helps Carowinds, but it has to be better for it's image, etc. than the old dead mall was.

Ah the old pictures bring back so many memories I have of going to that mall as a kid. Then I remember the slow death it was having when I was in my early teens. I have been in there twice as it is now and I was impressed. It is alot better than it used to be. Glad to see they have the arcade finally open. I have to go get a churro too.
