Ugh :( Working on Christmas day. I have worked one Christmas and one Thanksgiving in my working career. That will never happen again. To me there are certain times in a year when one should not be working and should enjoy the day. Those days are Birthdays, Anniversaries, and other Holidays your beliefs holds dear.

Now, I work on my birthday but take the following day off. It takes a fella a little longer to recoup from the night before as you get older.

Arby, maybe I can send you a slice of fruitcake? :lolno:

I worked in IT for hospitals for years. I was on call all.the.time. Holidays were just another day. I remember getting calls to remote in and help with issues on my honeymoon. Heck, I even had a nurse come into my hospital room with a laptop to ask me how to deal with a problem she was having when I was in labor with my daughter.

Now we own a business, and while it's always possible someone could call or need us on a holiday, it's pretty rare.

As for school, my two step daughters get out of school on Dec 19 and go back on January 5. My daughter gets out on the same day and goes back on Jan 7.

Sure!

Yeah, we keep websites and servers running so we are open 24/7/365. Keep in mind that I work from home so it's not quite the same. Unless the bottom falls out, we're super dead on Christmas so I expect to still be with my family but just on call and not really working.

I have no suggestions other than an old PC game called Roller Coaster Tycoon. (1,2, or 3) A new one is coming out in early 2015 called Roller Coaster Tycoon World.

I've been thinking about this for a while though. What if there was a game that simulated all of the Cedar Fair Parks? or any park in the world for that matter. You could walk around the park like you would in reality, and even ride the rides, play the games and so on. Every year, a new one could be released (because most parks change from year to year.)
I'd like to see this happen at some point.

I've been thinking (yeah, dangerous passtime, I know).
the technical definition of a Hybrid coaster is steel and wood right? So technically, Goldrusher is a Hybrid, and one of the oldest if that.
