I'd bet you $500 (yes there's an extra 0 ther) otherwise but you won't take my bets.

It's my understanding that they want time to do what they need to do. Mean streak is 500' longer and 20' higher than Texas Giant. New Texas Giant was raised 10' in drop height and shortened by 900'.

I could see Mean Streak having a taller lift and loosing a couple hundred feet, Texas Giants' lost length mostly came from the helix, which Mean Streak doesn't have.

None of the other RMC conversions have been to the scale of NTG, which took longer than the others.

Still not taking a bet, this is a fansite that is mostly based on speculation. The only thing you being right does is inflate your sense of self importance.

I wouldn't bet ya on the waterslides and I am still sure of that. (Still not betting you).

Plus Mean Streak is longer than TG was despite not having the helix.

That was RMC's first project though, back when their factory was still small.

I don't speculate. Think what you want, how often am I wrong? The only speculation I've posted is about that slide. I'm still convinced it's not going. I actually have info on Mean Streak. From multiple sources. Just like Banshee. Just like I305. Just like...everything else.

The only thing you being right does is inflate your sense of self importance.

How come when I say stuff like that you whine to the mods till they get pissed and post about being excellent to one another, but it's okay for you to be antagonistic? I don't need self importance. It's called confidence. It's not about being right, I'm sharing info. Because I feel like it.

Which...is...exactly what I just said. Your point?

I do enjoy seeing you acting out when you don't like it that I have info.

I'll wait for the texts asking me to leave you alone because you cry to the mods.

That was, to date, their biggest project. Mean Streak is bigger. But, you know, feel free to doubt it I'll bookmark this thread for announcement day.

I'm not saying it will be open before 2018, because I firmly believe that's when it's opening. But Twisted Colossus is longer than NTAG (albeit lower to the ground), Iron Rattler has a taller lift and drop, and they completed Wildfire in a matter of months, their biggest ground-up project to date. It just seems to make more sense that the early closing would point towards a drastic change the size/layout, Cedar Fair would rather take more time with this project since it's their first RMC project, or a combination of both.

Acting out? Please, all I did was present an opposing opinion.

What would I need inside information for? To run around telling everyone "I know something you don't know, but I can't tell you!"

When have I ever said I knew and couldn't tell? I'm always spilling the tea. Unlike some people, I don't need to tell you that I know something. I tell what I know. And what I've said isn't opinion. So you're not presenting an opposite opinion.

Doesn't matter. I'd put my rep up against yours any day of the week around here.

Mean Streak and Texas Giant are massive structures. I would expect something along the lines of what NTG is like. All of the others save for Colossus (which significantly reduced the two coasters footprints) had much less structure, and a couple were built onto cliffs.

It takes time to rebuild something as massive as Mean Streak.

Mod edit: Edwardo, I deleted the extra post that looks like it was submitted accidentally since the following post was the same, but complete. The deleted one only had a reply of the first handful of words.

I wonder how much bad wood Mean Streak has. Before they start too much construction, they'll have to (or already have) find and replace or remove the bad wood. With all this talk of Mean Streak, let us not forget Hurler at KD.
