Yea I don't think I would watch the movie about the guy either. That makes since why after the 2nd Saw they kind of went downhill. I love my horror movies lol. The best to me so far was Insidious. That movie scared me so bad that I actually screamed in the theater  . My husband went to see it with me while he was here on leave, and he left marks on my fingers from squeezing my hand so hard  .

My brother told me about that one also. What is this up and coming "Super 8" all about? It looks scary, too. Steven Spielberg has his hands in that one - it must be good.

Time Warner Cable Arena Live Event: Josh Groban Tour

6.10.2011 Doors open at 7 pm. A Special meet and greet the artist & band started at 7:15.
The simple yet unique stage was created to look like an old, grandtheater stage in ruins. It was painted in white which of course was changed to different colors under lighting, and also served as a screen for projected graphics throughout the show. While this event was no sellout, with all seating capacity held on the lower level, it was none the less intriguing. The crowd looked to be somewhere around 5,000, with lots of floor seating added in front of the stage.

The "To be Decided" guest at 8 pm was a young piano player who goes by the name of Elluwminati Jazz. He entertained alone with his cool jazz piano which was well received by the audience.

The crowd was generally 20s and up with a concentration more on 30s and up. Many older guests in wheelchairs also came out to show their support. It never ceases to amaze me how each artist or group pulls on the hearts of the different types of people in the world.

Josh Groban and live band entered the stage at 9 pm and did not disappoint with their soothing music. His summer 2009 tour was canceled because Josh caught the flu, but his voice was definitely intact for the his latest performance. The baritone soloist moved from low to high notes effortlessly, especially during his signature song, "You Raise Me Up." This event could be known as, the first date, feel good concert of the year.

There is an event being held in Charlotte at the Tyvola Mall (Tyvola & South Blvd.) where the old Toys R Us store used to be on the end of the strip mall.
It's called the Emergency Liquidation Center Membership.

Hearing about it on different radio stations, "Laptops $199; eReaders and Tablets $99; Colognes and Perfumes $10..." - I went on Saturday, 6-18-2011. The commercial did't tell me it was $5 dollars to enter the door. I went in anyways. What I found was an inside flea market style event which sold some questionable goods. While I found no laptops for $199 nor any eReaders or tablets I was interested in, the constant spirit of buyer beware was lurking overhead. The cologne I asked about was $20 and some of the fragrances could only be bought from the merchant because they were imports. There were also toys present; linen; supposed real leather, sattle-styled motorcycle storage bags; stainless steel jewelry among other types; laptops mainly in the $300 range and some were obviously used - which made me question the ones that didn't look used; sunshades; watches; digital cameras; video cameras; car speaker systems; cheap DVDs; video games; and clothing.

There apparently is some miscommunication in the house because I asked two different venders, how much longer would they be in town? One said 3 weeks, the other said 2. Go if you feel it. You might be more successful than me, who walked out with only the stamped ticked I was given after having paid to get in. My only advice is that you use good common sense, not only there, but everywhere you shop, especially, when the setup is like a traveling carnival designed to quickly part you of your hard earned cash - Buyer Beware. They may act very kind to you at first to get you to purchase their offerings, but when something goes wrong with the item you bought from them, the venders could be nowhere to be found or they could very easily tell you, "You bought it, it's yours, good day," and hang up. Buyer Beware!

Live Event: Keith Urban Get Closer World Tour

June 24, 2011
The Time Warner Cable Arena opened its doors to the general public at 6:30 PM to a host of fans who were seated on both upper and lower levels, and Keith Urban did not disappoint. Neither did guest artist, Jake Owens. Both artists knew how to country/rock the house. Unlike many artist who don't ever speak to the audience until much later in their performance, Keith started talking and sharing after his fifth song.

The stage was setup towards the West side of the building with added rows of chairs - theater style - in front of the stage. From what I understand, those lucky floor seat ticket holders were allowed to enter the arena early for a special meet-and-great session with the main man and his five-piece band.

Keith chose a near simple stage setup like no other. It was all black with a circular monitor on the upstage wall, trimmed in silver light tracking - where stage lights traveled around the monitor displaying their colorful light show. To the right of the stage was more silver tracking. One was a large oval shape -very similar to the Carowinds' former White Lighting loop on a much smaller scale. To the right of it was a second circle, and a larger one above the entire stage which moved towards stage front and back again. Stage lights moved along these trackings as well. Outside of having the biggest mirror ball I've ever seen in my life, directly under it sat a surprise small stage where Mr. Urban also performed for a change of scenery and pace.

One of the show's highlights was when Keith invited people from the audience to sing one of his songs. I was definitely on the lookout for his beautiful wife, Nichole Kidman, but I guess she was away on a stage of her own, working on one of her movie projects. I'm I glad I was there? Oh, yeah! Keith knows how to handle himself on stage. He did not disappoint!
