Actually the phrase was 'awesome theming' which I must completely disagree with. Good theming for Cedar Fair may be more realistic. In the U.S., I personally set the bar for coaster theming to Revenge of the Mummy, which is the best that I have seen yet, and of course Verbolten also has great theming.

From what I see of the ride online, it appears to have not much more of theming than Fury 325. That's not to say that the coaster is not good, just not really much of any true theme.

Out of sheer curiosity, what kind of ideas could Cedar Point have used?

Fury has theming? The hexagons?

Being that there is none . . . at all.

Yeah, the hexagons are carried throughout a few areas of the ride. So on a scale of 1-10, Fury has about a 2.5 for theming whereas Goliath at SFOG has absolutely no theme whatsoever.

I had hoped that with Mr. Ouimett, there would be more themes to future rides, but that doesn't appear to be the case. I'm sure some of it has to do with budget constraints.

Personally, with all of the theming done for Carolina Harbor, and the theming done for Plants vs. Zombies, I still have faith in Mr. Ouimet.

Theme elements are great, however . . . They cost. In order to have tricked out themed rides I go to universal and Disney and then likes. I will never expect theming like on expedition everest or gringotts at a cedar fair or six flags park.

Ouimet said several times in early interviews after getting on at CF that the parks were not Theme Parks, but regional Amusement parks, so I never expected an explosion of theming. He stated that some theming obviously was necessary, but it's basically not what they're going for.

Yeah, I never expected a 9/10 or 10/10 like Disney or Universal. I was, however, hoping for maybe a 3/10 or 4/10. Like previously mentioned, though, I do appreciate the PvZ theme work which is more around 7/10 or 8/10 so I'll take it.

Not complaining, just adding to the discussion. (if you call it adding  )

Now, that's what you consider awesome theming . . .
