This week, I had to go down to the beach to do some family stuff. While I was there, I got to meet up with several people from Hard Rock Park about the upcoming ACE event at the park (June 21st.) After talking to them, including a very enthusiastic Dale Kaetzel, former assistant GM-exact title escapes me-at Carowinds, I'm really interested in seeing the park now. They have a couple more things to announce yet.

Of course, while I was there, I got some pics. Most of them are probably nothing you haven't seen before. But, I absolutely love how LZ's station is turning out.

First, some Mad Mouse and Lil Eagle track over at NASCAR Speedpark:

The view coming over the bridge towards HRP:

Various shots of the park:

See how many coasters you can see in these next two shots:

Shots of Led Zeppelin. I love the look of this coaster. I told the Sales lady that its tantalizing to be looking at this coaster and not be able to ride it. She just said "Soon!":

Myrtle Beach was getting ready for a bad storm. Just look at those clouds:

Finally, LZ's station. This is going to be so cool looking when its finished:

Great update Maxter! I check the HRP webcams almost daily but it's nice to see better and clearer views. Did you happen to catch any coaster test runs? I am particularly interested in the MaxRPM (ferris wheel) coaster.

Thanks for the Mad Mouse update too. Is this the speedpark across from Broadway at the Beach?

Any word from Donnie at FK?

She checked to see if Led Zep would be testing that evening but it wasn't. They do all the test runs at night when no construction is going on. I told them that as much as I'm looking forward to LZ, I think MaxRPM is the one that has my curiousity going the most. That ferris wheel lift is going to be...incredible.

Yes, its the NASCAR speedpark right across from BatB. The track is just laying back there in a parking lot! I didn't see any signs of the cars. Somebody told me once that they thought they were seen in some storage area in downtown MB. (But, don't quote me on that.)

Thanks for the pictures max...all the other shots I have kinda seen are not to my liking but you seem to take the type of shots that I care for!

and swampfox I could kiss you for posting that picture! Even though everyone will bake to death since there is virtually no shade in that park (as well as IOA but jurassic park is its saving grace) I still think this will be a great park! So who is gonna go down for the preview march14-april14???

Here's a few Eagles songs that may have been more fitting. "Take It Easy", "Peaceful Easy Feeling", "Wasted Time" (Ok, that was a joke), "After the Thrill Is Gone", "Out of Control" and a song from their first album "Train Leaves Here This Morning"..

Also, on the link Coasterdave listed there is a video showing the ride in motion. Yeeehaaaa!

Will be lucky enough to take the inaugural run of Led Zeppelin – The Ride on Tuesday April 15th. Before anyone ask how, I was one of the Auction winners for the Rock My World Children's Village for the first car that will be departing. Won Row 3 seat 3.

Check back late that night or early wednesday for the low down.

Congrats Dave! I think the individual headrest speakers will add a lot to the otherwise typical B&M looper experience. I'll be curious to hear how Whole Lotta Love is synced to the ride. The Backstage Tour gave me an idea but I know those aren't always accurate.

Some pretty decent clips of the "Eagles" coaster during test runs on YT:

And there you are! (click the word "there" for the video link). PS: this new html format is a step backwards Jonathan.....IMO.

So, how was it? After viewing the time lapse web-cam, it appeared to be a very light crowd. I know that's gonna change soon though.
