So, the real reason I went to Myrtle on Memorial Day Weekend: Freestyle Music Park!

I see sweet B&M Goodness behind those walls...

Finally! It may look a bit different than the pix I saw of it last year, but I'm finally here!

Definitely my kind of place...

Some things look different...

While other things look pretty much the same.

The huge Gibson Guitar.

And the signature coaster. It was fairly good. The first half is killer, the 2nd half is like HULK, rather meh.

So let's go in to Myrtle's Beach and have a lookyloo, shall we?

I hope they add more of this kind of stuff. I know they ripped quite a bit out due to the last morons that owned the place, but I liked odd stuff like this everywhere.

So we decided to skip the Beemer after we saw that this was up and running. It would go on to run all day, actually.

As has been shown, they've ripped out some stuff from this area. It's pretty large, and has plenty of other room behind and around it for more rides (Plural).

We see you, The Time Machine!

So lets head across the pond (with an unbeknowst to me, smudged lens) for our first credit of the day.

It works! And the lift and drop are great. The rest of the ride is meh, though.

Hey Blobb Alfey:

We rode McGillicutty's...err, whatever...Cab Ride at nite. It's pretty sick.

Yeah, I realize they had a very short amount of time to get this up and running. Hopefully during the off season they'll add lots more. And shorten the queue that used to be the walkthru portion of the ride. Or at least utilize it.

This was all very fun. Meant to do the rock climbing, but forgot to come back to it.

New Kiddy Section. Nice rides, cool names, could use some work (and more theming).

Blah, something something.

Credit time! I'm glad they changed the name. The coaster, though a Vekoma, neither shook or rattled much.

Bonus credit we were told wasn't open yet.

Still love the station. The ride was pretty cool too.

This makes for a nice view when entering the park.

This bucket spilled every time we walked by.

The water was on, the music was not.

Last credit of the day.

New theming doesn't look bad now that its all together.

Yeah, we got the obligatory shot.

Fun, but not fantastic.

We came back at nite, where I think the park 'shines' (yes, that was an intended pun). I think with the starlight admission and live music, this could become a nite time hotspot. Reminded me of Citywalk, but with rides amongst the shopping and stuff. They should open at 1pm, add some clubs, and stay open till 1am.

Zep...err...The Time Machine at nite.

Looking back at the lit up entrance.

Got nite rides here, TTM, and IH.

And we ended the nite with a Kiss.

The nite time show was pretty awesome, with great music (and some rare versions of music). The only thing that 'went wrong' was all of the kites weren't lit up, only 3 of the 6 on the line. Still, pretty killer.
Had a nice time, I'd go back if I lived closer more often, but not since I live so far away. When I'm in the area, I'll likely go for the twilight ticket.
