Went up to the Pointe today. This was only my second time up, but loved it even more.
I don't remember what order I rode stuff, but here's my take:
Dragon's Den (Proslide Bowl): Not the most thrilling of rides, but not one to overlook. You go down the drop pretty fast, and the final chute is a tasty little surprise, 'specially if you end up going backwards. Has a fast-moving line, which is always a plus.,
Bonzai Pipiline (Side-by-side slides with a double-dip drop) Fairly fun. The ride boasts speeds of 40 mph, but it doesn't seem quite that fast. The slow-down part is painful. Fun, slow line, not too intense.
The Edge (40 ft. Half-Pipe): A good ride, but the line moves SOOOOOOOO SLOOOOOOW. This was my longest wait of the day. The last time I went, they allowed double-riders, but they don't now. The drop is cool, but the water that collects between the peaks is horrible.
Twin Twisters (Body Slides not unlike Pipeline Peak): Not near as good as ours. The ride is over so fast.
Daredevil Drop (70 ft. Drop): My first time on a ride like that. It was okay. Hurts your back when slowing down.
Dr. Von Dark's Tunnel of Terror (ProSlide Tantrum): This ride was FREAKING AWESOME!!!!!! I had never been in a tornado before, and I was blown away (so to speak). The ride is over before you know what happens, but that adds to the disorientation. I rode it 3 times. And even if the line filled up the queue (sp???), I never waited more than 20 minutes. It is a people eater. The first time I rode it, I was with my 30-ish half-sister. As soon as we hit the tornado part, she was screaming things like "Oh my f*ck#ng G*d!" and "Holy F*ck#ng Sh!t" and "Hell no!" and the top of her lungs. As soon as it was over, she said " NEVER AGAIN!!" She was still trembling when we got to the other side of the park.
