In order of coaster quantity relevance:
1:
Busch Gardens Africa: Sheikra (B&M Dive Coaster w/ 1 Inversion)
Kumba (B&M Sit Down w/ 7 Inversions)
Montu (B&M Inverted w/7 Invertions)
Scorpion (Schwarzkopf Sit Down w/ Single Loop)
Cheetah Chase (Mack Wild Mouse Coaster)
Gwazi (GCI Dueling Wooden Coasters-2 separate layouts)
They have the most coasters in one park than the others. It is my favorite park (that I've been to so far). The park is an hour drive from Orlando; definitely worth the trip. The park is less busy on weekdays, but I've been on a Satuday in December and waited no more than 30 minutes for anything.
[Best Ticket price: $64.95 (online price for Florida visitors-higher at the gate)]2:
Universal's Islands Of Adventure:
Incredible Hulk Coaster (B&M Tire Propelled Launched w/7 Inversions)
Dueling Dragons (B&M Inverted Dueling coasters-2 separate layouts w/ 5 inversions each)
Pteranodon Flyers (Setpoint Suspended Family coaster-child required to ride)
The Flying Unicorn (Vekoma Junior Steel- may still be closed for retheming to the Harry Potter area)
Park has Seuss Landing which is great for kids; especially at Christmas. They also have the How The Grinch Stole Christmas Musical Show which is wonderful. The park can be very crowded on weekends (from personal experience), and closer to Christmas when schools are out during the week.
If you do the 2 -park deal with
Universal Studios (next-door) then you have also:
Revenge of The Mummy (Premier Lauched Indoor)
Hollywood Rip, Ride, Rockit (Vertical Lift with Personalized Music Soundtrack)
Woody Woodpecker's Nuthouse Coaster (Vekoma Family Sitdown)
This park has mostly movie simulator and walk-type rides. Does have the Macy's Day Parade during the holidays which is nice. If you go on a week-day you should be able to get through both parks with ease. If it's a weekend day, you may want to pick one or the other, as lines can be outrageously long (I've been the last 2 years during that season).
[Best Ticket Price: $99.99 for 2 park pass or $73.00 1 park pass (online only-higher at the gate)]3:
Sea World:
Kraken (B&M Floorless w/ 7 Inversions)
Manta (B&M Flying w/ 4 Inversions)
Journey To Atlantis (Mack Water Coaster)
Shamu Express (Zierer Family Sit Down Coaster)
Park has a few other family/kiddie rides and upcharge rides as well. The Park is great, however focuses more on animal atttractions and shows than rides. Would probably be your last choice if you want coaster quantity.
[Best Ticket Price is: $68.95 (online price for Florida visitors-higher at the gate)]Basically if you want more coasters, then Busch Gardens is your better bet for one-park admission and if you want a less crowded park to enjoy them. Universal Parks are great too, dont get me wrong, but they can get busy closer to Christmas and on the weekends in comparison. However, if your family is more budget-conscious than one park with Universal's IOA may be better if you factor in the cost of gas to and from Tampa (depending on the number of people going).
I hope this helps. Last December I did both Universal parks, Busch Gardens, Sea World and Disney's Animal Kingdom on a 9 day trip. I had a great time. Hope you and yours does as well.
