I've seen this on the usual coaster sites and on Holiday World's site itself. Will Koch, owner of Holiday World, has passed away at the age of 48.
I saw Will around the park several times when I visited in Voyage's opening year, including on the platform of Voyage near the end of a long day when it had been nearly 100 degrees. Here was Will, owner of the place, helping to load trains and full of energy.
You could just tell he loved the park, loved the employees, and most importantly loved those of us who were spending our day there. We were truly his guests, and he wanted us to feel special while at HW. His passion and bold vision was what brought us Voyage, a superb addition to an already wonderful park - and for my money the best coaster in existence.
RIP Will, you will be missed.
