If you've paid attention to the last few years, they've rarely sold a game out. If you also look closely, you can see that the picture I posted (taken by me before the UT game last year) was still during pregame warmups, and the stadium is already that full. The Swamp has sold out every home game since the late 80s (over 120 straight games). I think the erector set at FSU has maybe sold out 1 or 2 in a row? Your fans were even trying to force out your legendary coach. Real loyal fanbase you got there. Welcome back to permanent mediocrity and obscurity!

Gainesville... an hour from Jacksonville, an hour from Orlando.
Tallahassee... four hours from the nearest big city.


I hope you do sell it out. It's tough in this economy to take off 6 weekends a year, pay for 12 hotel nights, pay for all that gas, etc in this economy. Gaytor fans stay in Gainesville after college because they have nothing better to do. Of course they're gonna sell it out.

Well this is a thread I could really get into. Sorry to butt in here with a team that isn't from Florida, but do we have any Virginia Tech fans on these boards? Who I think, by the way, will end up playing FSU in the ACC Championship game. I sure hope so too, because I live about 20 minutes from Charlotte!

You all said the same thing the last......6 years. Enjoy that annual pounding on Thanksgiving weekend again!

Oh, and Nebraska has sold out well over 200 games in a row. That's about as in the middle of nowhere as you can get. Penn State has done the same. I was just in Happy Valley a couple weeks ago. God's country. Don't give me that lame "wahhhhhhh it's too far to go to see our team get beat 30-0 by Wake Forest" crap. If you had real fans, they would show up. I'm broke as a joke and I still made it to 5 games last year, 4 of which I had to drive 7 hours to Gainesville from Birmingham just to get there. Just face it, your program has become a laughingstock more and more each year for the last decade, and you're stuck in the past. Join the present, hoss, the 90s are over.

There isn't anything to do in Nebraska except watch football. And, no... I never said we would be good these last few years. In fact, I have been very realistic. I knew we didn't have the coaching staff to get it done (and, I'm talking about position coaches). Now, we do.

When will Florida play a respectable team out of conference besides FSU? Easy wins against Charleston Southern must be great. Yeah, FSU has Sanford this year, but I think we deserve it since we play the Gaytors, Oklahoma and BYU. When can Florida ever say they played near that competition OOC. Let me guess your response... BUT WE PLAY IN THE MIGHTY SEC!!!! RAWRRR!

I like Florida, but am really starting to hate their fans. They are becoming the Yankees, Cowboys or Tarheels of college football, in terms of fandom asshattery IMO.

As for FSU are we really on here boasting about our amazing 47-30 record in the last 6 years?

While I really can't claim a team having never been to college, I kind of like to root for:



I'm sure in typical NC State fashion they will lose their first 6 games then win the next 5 in a row before losing the last one to seal that it will be another year without a bowl appearance for the Wolfpack.
