Is anybody planning on going to Smoky Mountain Coasterfest at Dollywood on 11/20? I get scheduled a month out for work so I need to start thinking about this now if I'm going to request time off.

I do have a gold season pass there so I easily get 20% off of anything in the park under $1,000. I just show the pass anywhere and get the discount without pre-buying anything. I love the park because it's so customer-oriented and friendly.

You should note, also, that Dollywood doesn't charge an arm and a leg for their food and souvenirs. You get a lot of value for your dollar there.

That's all the more reason to consider Smoky Mountain Coasterfest. Day passes to the park are around $56 and it only costs $50 for ACE members and guests for this event are only $60. It's hard to beat that deal.

I am definitely going and I have already requested the time off of work. I just haven't signed up yet as we're still figuring out if the whole family is going or not. Since I missed C3 because of work, I'm not going to miss this one.

If you have never been, the Smoky Mountain Christmas festival is nice. We went last year the week before Christmas and it was pretty cold causing the coasters to only be open a few hours. We're hoping that going up in November will be a bit warmer and allow for more coaster ride time.

...and that ticket is upgradable to a season pass as well. :)

Now is a good time to start thinking about Dollywood if you're trying to get some final rides in for 2010. We went to Smoky Mountain Christmas right before Christmas last year. I did write a general blog post about it although it's not focused towards the audience on this board.

When we went, it was cold, but we still had a great time. The shows are good and the lines for rides are not very long. The people at Dollywood are very friendly and I hear this is right in line with the quality of the Christmas show at Busch Gardens Williamsburg.

I think we're going to leave early on 11/20 and drive straight to the park where we'll hang out in the RV parking for the day. Let me know if anybody else is going. It will be great to finally meet at least one person from this board (as I'm pretty sure Jarsh will be there). My daughter and I are going to the ACE event and my wife and son will join us after the park opens.

Haha! That you can count on. Although, you'll have to introduce yourself to me since it will definately be easier to find me that for me to find you, lol. Unless I see you at check-in! :)

For the rest of ya's... If you would like to attend, please register soon! The deadline for mail-in registrations is next Wednesday, November 10 and the deadline for on-line registrations is next Sunday, November 14.

It'll be great fun and there is ERT on Thunderhead AND Mystery Mine. What's not to like about this event?!?! Hope to see some of you there!

I am in the thinking about going stage at the moment. I had thought it was the weekend that I was asked to be part of a Paranormal Show but that got moved to the first weekend in Dec. Just in the thinking stages at the moment.

You folks have a great time at Dollywood. I get a chance to go Ghost Hunting that night not to far from the house. Family is scared to even stay in the house they just bought. Seems they think a Demon is in the house.

I have got to visit Dollywood. I've wanted to go for sometime now.
I read Dolly Parton's autobiography. It's very interesting. Did you know she uses monies from Dollywood to pay for any child to go to college? They must be a true resident of the area to qualify. Man! That is awesome!
