One of the nice things about Flickr, which also has Getty Images amongst others hosted on it's site (and some of those licensers use Flickr Images) is that you can get many 'free' images that are under Creative Commons. Here is a quick guide to the Flickr photo page that may help you.
A) Different actions, including adding a tag or note, can be done by you to your photos or other's (depending on what they allow)
B) If you want to share your photo, this will give you options to get the HTML or BBCode, or to email it. Not everyone shares their photos with other people, though (But you can share your own with anyone you wish).
C) Along with the Actions button, you can use this one to look at differing sizes. If the photo is available for you to download, you'll need to go to sizes and choose the size.
D) This is how you find out who owns the photo (unless they state otherwise).
E) This is a Geotagged map, so you can see where the photo was taken, if they've geotagged it.
F) You can look at other photos in the person's photo stream.
G) see what groups/sets/collections/galleries the photo is in here by clicking on links (if they're available).
H) If you've tagged someone in a photo, or someone else has tagged someone (or you) in a photo, it'll show that info here.
I) List of Tags for the photo.
J) This one is important. If there is a Creative Commons* license for the photo, it'll be listed here, or they'll have "All Rights Reserved". It also lists if someone has made the photo available to be licensed thru Getty Images. And lastly, it shows who can see the photo. Green means anyone, Yellow means only those the owner of the pic allows, Red means it's blocked to everyone but the owner (Unless they share it).
K) Name of the photo (As you can see, I haven't named this one yet)
L) Caption for photo.
M) You can leave comments here.
*For this particular photo, which is mine, I have licensed it so that it can be used by anyone under the license, so long as I'm given credit for the original photo, as long as they aren't using it for making money, and as long as any dirivitives they make of the photo are released under the same license. You can pick and choose your license. Some people will allow commercial use. Heck, I'll allow commercial use, if someone contacts me, and in fact, I have had some smaller websites ask to use some of my photos (Why, I dunno, I guess because I allowed them for free and the pix weren't that great). So even if all rights are reserved, just contact someone if you want to use a picture.
