Let Me In Rated R -Five Star Event-
Run time 1 hr, 55 min Directed by Matt Reeves.
Starring Kodi Smit-McPhee, Chloe Moretz, Richard Jenkins.
Horror/Mystery/and Suspence await you in this, creepy not scary, Sci-Fi Drama
So, what do you do when you find out your attractive new neighbor, your same age, is a vampire?
What do you do when you're a vampire, and your caregiver - the one who brings the fresh blood home - finds himself in an unexpected situation and never returns, leading a blood trail to your door?
School time is hell for a twelve year old bullied teen, who finally forms a tight friendship with a neighbor - who is not human, to say the least. She makes him feel good about himself, but that's not all she does for him.
Well done film!
You can tell the films where director and staff cared about the script and took their time to get everything just right.
All the foreground actors are excellent, believable. The actors, whose characters were killed, were apparently special trained to act as if they were fighting for their lives, which made for highly eerie screen time. I'm sure, if I had been suffering from traumatic live-or-death stress I'd have left the theater. The film answers it's own raised questions for the most part, like, what happens when a vampire enters a home uninvited? - but I did not understand the students hanging out at the school pool at night. I know why it had to be nighttime but still, the situation was very odd but thankfully, the only scene that didn't quite match the rest of the film.
