My Turkey day was interrupted.
Mom's house was supposed to be the hot spot this year. As it turns out, she developed an infection and went home from work hurting on Wednesday (yesterday) - the day she'd planned to cook. This morning (Thanksgiving) we took her to the hospital where we stayed from 7:30 am - 1:12 PM but my spirit stayed up really high because while waiting in the lobby, an all news station reported that many stores with website were starting their Black Friday sales today - one day ahead of their morder and brick sales. Even
http://www.macys.com had gotten in on the action. I couldn't wait to home. Can you say, "Skip the lines and the fights and buy discounted stuff a day earlier?"
From the the hospital we went to K&W and to my surprise, it was full of people who were also eating their turkey day away from home. All the other opened restaurants we passed along the way were crowed as well. This made me feel even better. I had no idea so many people ate out on this day. Soon I was cyber shopping and was very successful! My digital camera is on its way to me now for the cheapest price ever, plus the site threw in a nice extra 4GB memory card. I'm so glad I held out for the best deals.
