I think I'm finally going to give in to my inner pyromaniac. Every time I go to Carowinds, I am tempted to stop and buy some fireworks. Carowinds is usually the only reason I find myself in SC. But I am always kind of freaked out by those fireworks places... Anybody have a favorite place to indulge in your inner-childhood desire watch things blow up? Are they all the same?

Phantom Fireworks in Indian Land by the Walmart is where I always go for my fireworks. They always seem to have a buy one get one free sale and their fireworks are really good. Have never had any duds from them. We also got some good ones at Costco.

Although I didn't see this till today, thanks for the response. We bought our 4th of July stash yesterday though.

We went to Area 51. Coupons for Area 51 came in the mail a couple days ago, and it was buy 1 get 2 free everything in the store*. And they threw in a pile of free stuff too (mostly unimpressive looking stuff, and little kid stuff). Most everything in Area 51 was also buy 1 get 1 free normally. Some stuff was regularly buy 1 get 2 free. So we were careful to find the stuff that was regularly buy 1 get 1 free, and use our coupon to get 2 free instead. I figured those must be the better things. Of course I am the farthest thing from fireworks enthusiast. We'll see how good our choices were when we light them, I suppose.

*Of course the mortars were exempted from the buy 1 get 2 free coupon, and are not buy 1 get 1 ever.
