Does anyone know why rhe park is open on these two days?

Sat the 12th the park is open 2pm-5pm & fri the 18th 4pm-8pm.

Are these dry run days open to family & friends of employees only?

It on the operating schedule on the back of the 2005 associate handbook.

Speaking of dry-run days, I think it would be cool if Carowinds started having a day that the park is open just to Season Pass holders. A lot of other parks do this, and I think it's a great perk for people who own passes.

If i'm not mistaken Carowinds use to have a SP day although they stopped that a while ago. I think 1999 was the last year that i can remeber them doing it but it could have been before then.

Buy yes i agree, Carowinds does need to bring back the SP day.

Also one of the 2 days i listed is a day for Family & friends of employees and one is Media Day. Just not sure which is which but i'll find out.

As much fun as it sounds, alas, I'll be @ Winter Coaster Solace on the 12th. Now, what am I doing on the 18, and where is my friend that works there? :D

I remember the year the Vortex opened, they had a preview night for the Vortex for SP holders. Of course, it was the coldest night of the year and it breaks down with us on the brake run for nearly an hour. It wasn't fun.

Would be nice if they did a SP day like SFOG does with half off food/merchandise. Not that there's much stuff in the park that I'd buy. Still never got that Borg shirt I wanted.
