"I was at Carowinds today (11-23) and it appears the colors have been decided for the new (used) coaster and are in full progress of being painted. I talked to one of the painters and he said they would be working 7 days a week to complete the job by years end. The colors are as follows. Gray supports. Black track & ties. Lime Green spine. The first photos of the Green & Black appeared in mid-October on http://www.carowindsconnection.com
Until recently, no one knew for sure what color the support columns would be. I've sent some new photos to the Carowinds Connection web master. Hopefully he will upload them to his site.
Oh, one more thing. I asked the painter if he'd heard anything on what the name of the ride will be. He said he had heard Star Trek mentioned by some of his fellow workers. Hmmmm, I wonder where they got that????"
I could of sworn the supports looked black, but they do not seem as black as the rails. Can you say, Star Trek? B)
