Someone from thrillnetwork.com wrote...

"I was at Carowinds today (11-23) and it appears the colors have been decided for the new (used) coaster and are in full progress of being painted. I talked to one of the painters and he said they would be working 7 days a week to complete the job by years end. The colors are as follows. Gray supports. Black track & ties. Lime Green spine. The first photos of the Green & Black appeared in mid-October on http://www.carowindsconnection.com

Until recently, no one knew for sure what color the support columns would be. I've sent some new photos to the Carowinds Connection web master. Hopefully he will upload them to his site.

Oh, one more thing. I asked the painter if he'd heard anything on what the name of the ride will be. He said he had heard Star Trek mentioned by some of his fellow workers. Hmmmm, I wonder where they got that????"

I could of sworn the supports looked black, but they do not seem as black as the rails. Can you say, Star Trek? B)

Cool! :D Maybe they can die the water that the coaster will go over a cool color to go along with the theme (Purple,Green,Red). I thinking of something like how the water by Nemesis in Alton Towers is blood Red.

Looking good. Those colors should definantly catch your attention as you enter the parking lot. Those poor painters having to work seven days a week just for our enjoyment. Makes for good paychecks tho.

Star Trek? We all thought that at one time or another but we will have to wait and see as I am trying to figure out how the fountains would play into the theme.

Wouldn't it be cool to go over purple water from "another planet."

What if the name is Star Trek: The Last Mission?

Whatever it is it probably won't be Star Trek: Ultimate Flight or something like that with the word flight in it.

This speculation is probably pointless because I am probably way off in my guessing.

I remember back when they released the first photos on the green. I said it was Star Trek and everybody said "No" The born Invasion poster I tried to hint at and I was shut up because it was only a poster. Then i brought up that the last movie was in a green theme and I was shut up because it dident meen anything because it was just the last movie. I now can say "I Told Yall"

I could see it being Star Trek: Defiant, after the ship from Deep Space Nine. I could see that ship mimicing the moves/track layout of TCFKAS. The Defiant could really move. But, we're probably going to be stuck with the Borg idea.

resistance is futile ...

Wu-Tang ... I'm the one who shared this link on here, you're the one who insulted me. Don't go telling everyone how great you are when we all can go back and read your posts.

For all the "newbies" to the board, back when the park announced the ride and before the park began paint the track some months ago it was said by people here other than you that it could either be a star trek theme or a tomb raider theme. Personally, i for one stated that it just may be star trek because, for one out of many reasons, the statue that *was* over in the area by the tower. However someone stated that they think that a star trek theme would better fit indoors. But its just something about the removal of the statue after the announcement that triggered something in me.

In closing, no one has grounds to go around chanting **i told you so, i told you so** unless you were here from day one way back when.............. ;)

Ahh those where the days.......no one word post.............no name changing every other day.............no race to discover things first.............no forum-fence hopping.......no silly "what color do you think the grass is gonna be" post.......back when everyone seem as if the knew what they were talking about and the threads were very interesting

Coasterbruh, I agree with you. I liked it when everyone acted mature on the boards, and there wasn't any crap with people bickering back and forth. One thing I'd really like is for people to use the edit button to add to their posts instead of thinking of something 25 seconds later and just replying with a new post. That edit button has a use you know!

People are just anxious and impatient about the announcements for the coaster, and I personally think we should all chill out. Yes, it's exciting, but please try and find other ways of expressing it than with 7 different threads about the colors of the ride!
