Im not thrilled about the slow speed either, BUT, I think the manuevers and the inversions of the ride are going to be better at a slower speed, I also love the little airtime hill on the 2nd launch, was not expecting it at all! Also not having the OTSR is going to be fantastic. Verbolten is one of my favorite launches and its not all to fast, most of our coasters are around the same 50mph mark anyway, so it will fit right in. Can't wait to contiue following the construction of the coaster and watch this thing come to life! Its amazing!

This doesn't have OTSR?

edit: where are people finding the info about the second launch as well.

Is it me or is the track looking more orange than copper? Maybe it’ll look copper after a couple seasons in the sun.

Also as a resident of the western part of NC I’m glad to see the hillbilly, moonshine, shotgunnin side get some representation. If anything the park could use more southern charm that its neighbor Dollywood has in spades.

Edit: Mack are part of the modern world and have lapbars.

I don't think any Macks have OTSRs, or at least none of the recent ones (Time Traveler, Icon, DC Rivals, Helix, etc.) Also I'm not sure what you mean by your other question. What information are you talking about?

No there are no OTSR. You can find all the info about the ride here https://www.carowinds.com/play/rides/copperhead-strike

The track does look more of an orange color, but I like it, a lot. Its actually "unique" and not the same red or blue etc.

Can we start the 2020 speculation now? We started the 2019 one last year early in August. LOL! Carowinds' major investment strategic plan ends in 2022, so we have a few more years. I have absolutely no clue what's in store for 2020, unlike for what I mentioned last year.

Just made a topic for it

I think the section from the launched airtime hill through the tophat will be the star of the ride. Hope no nets have to be put up from people and their crap in their pockets.

Also just hypothetical, anyone wish the shed part was a secret until you rode it? He he.

Also that explained the abnormally long launch section on the blueprint.

I think this could end up being my new favorite element in the park, maybe even more so than Fury's treble clef. There look to be three major airtime moments leading into the tophat, so this should be amazing.

That element (the launch with the hill) is absolutely amazing. I can’t think of any other coaster that has that off the top of my head. Should get some terrific airtime, and some good forces. I was not expecting that at all. Was expecting it to be flat.
