Yea, kind of strange, but I guess they have good reasons. Maybe some of the track isn't here yet still or something, or its easier to maneuver around. I kind of thought they would do the piece through the middle and down and then work back towards the top hat. Kind of surprised me they put the supports up for the 2nd launch too, I didn't realize it had been 28 days since those footers were poured, or they didn't have to wait the full 28 days. Not sure.

I think those 2 buildings were pumps for the little pool and one was for white water falls. Not sure if they will become part of themeing for copperhead or not...

Am I the only person who finds it amazing how they can put up track in random places, and still have it all come together with such precision? The placing of all those footers, has to be with nearly zero margin for error.

Anyone know how much slop there actually is from piece to piece? Obviously the track surface needs to fit together exactly, but there has to be some amount of allowed variance in each piece's elevation/angle.

I'm curious how that bathroom in the back corner is going to be integrated into the build-out. I think we were told it's going to stay, but it is hard to picture how it'll be practical where it's at.

Since those big drills are back there, it looks like they are still digging footings in the place where the logical order of support placement goes.

I am sure I am not the only one who feels this way...

Thanks

I second that.

I have zero interest in it, but I'm wiling to let the youngins' have fun with their little game. Anything to keep them out of trouble, especially tarheel. :)

Yea they are still working on the footers back in that area. It seemed to me though that the footers for the 2nd launch had just got poured like 2 weeks ago, but it must have been longer than that , because the supports are up. The footers for the top hat have been done for a long time now, so I wouldn't be surprised if they move over there once some of this other track is up.... If they do, we won't be able to see :(

With the course of the layout being so tightly packed, I'm not surprised they didn't "follow the course" when putting it together. Getting the cranes and equipment in there on all of those switchbacks would have been horrible. Looks like they're starting at the innermost portion of the property and working their way out to the edge. That way the cranes and equipment needed for the last piece of track wont have a tight fit to accomplish the job.

As someone else said, tolerances are in millimeters and the track is built using computer scans to the micrometer. I wouldn't be surprised if the last bolt goes in just as easy as the first.

That bathroom is going to stay part of the waterpark. They are not adding any bathrooms the the new area.
