Realistically, as dense as that section is, it’s the only place a walkway would fit. The only other section high enough from the ground would be the cutback, but it’s pretty far away from the midway.

I know these things are designed with computers that measure everything down to the millimeter but when I see a picture like that it always amazes me that they can dig a bunch of footers in the dirt, place them exactly where they are supposed to be, get them the exact right height, place the supports and when the track is installed it fits like a glove. Really amazing.

Good amount of track installed so far today. They have extended past the airtime hill and up into the next turn. Also, working backward from the finish into the last horseshoe turn.

It keeps reminding me of that popular picture/meme (likely photoshopped, but still...) of the bridge being built from both directions and notlining up in the middle. That'd be the result of me trying to assemble a roller coaster, giving a new meaning to the term "air time".

Yep and this morning they have been cranking out more track going under the airtime hill and back towards the first loop. Looking good!

I know it's not exactly the same scheme, but the rusty-colored track and dark supports sure do remind me a lot of how Carolina Cyclone looked when it was new.

I would assume that is 3d printed but still a lot of impressive talent to make that model
