General Carowinds discussion

Still, the employees need to start caring about the guests and listening to the guests wants. That's what good customer service is all about.

On the other hand, I was at WinterFest last week and had a chance to check out the construction progress of Copperhead and they have come along nicely. Ride looks a lot smaller than I thought though.

Please, please, PLEASE do not take your frustrations out on the employees. That is a corporate policy, and if you want that policy to change then you need to take it up with the people in charge (i.e. Cedar Fair or the higher-ups at Carowinds) . Please don’t get angry at the employees for doing their jobs.

This, exactly. I've had ops crew attempt to accommodate when politely asked, even during busy times. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Such is life.

The hill before the launch is bigger than I thought. Combined with the launch hill it looks like a double down. Trying to quell my expectations, but what I thought might be one of the more tame sections of the layout is looking very interesting. Ready for some March Madness in the park.

I'm amazed by the progress they have made thus far and how its almost completed. I was wondering does Mack themselves build the ride, or is it a combination of both the parks and Cedar Fair's maintenance and construction team and Mack that build the ride?

From my understanding, they use a third party construction company to build the coaster, with the park’s maintenance team working with/overseeing the project. I think RMC is one of the only manufacturers that actually builds the rides themselves, and I think GCI AND Gravity Group do it as well.

Mosley Erecting, they’re based out of South Carolina, can check them out on Facebook. They worked on Fury, Carolina Harbor, Intimidator, Wild Eagle, Hard Rock Park, etc. Lot of different hands go into making the ride, but these people are the ones doing the actual construction of the coaster, not Mack Rides.

Very cool pic. I would not be surprised if they finished the track work today. Finishing the top hat will slow them down a little but it's early and they've almost got half of it complete already. Then it's just a few more pieces to go. Unreal how much they installed yesterday and this morning already.
