We currently have 2 very similar swing rides in the park. Relocate one of them to the water park, and have sprinklers and water cannons aimed at it and randomly firing thru the ride cycle..

I'm sure the rides can withstand normal, wet weather conditions but to have a constant stream of water on the ride may not be ideal for a 50+ year old ride? I'm not an engineer though, so I don't know.

I know this won't happen but what a dive machine here maybe not the exact layout like this but using all his remodeling the entrance plus 2 coasters in the entrance

That is way too big for a Dive Machine layout. Looks more like a Wing Coaster layout (like Gatekeeper). A Dive coaster would fit comfortably in the Dinos Alive area.

Another concept for how to re-do the Rapids area. I'll elaborate later since I'm strapped for time, but essentially, it's a Pirate Island concept with the Rapids having an indoor section, and the relocation of Southern Star and Peanuts Pirates.

[EDIT I] So for the Rapids itself, the ride layout would be minimized and compacted to fit inside of a show building. Its new name would be Curse of Blackbeard, and the ride would be like a ghetto version of Pirates at Shanghai Disneyland. Instead of animatronics, it would utilize screens and pyrotechnics. The ride finale could be a 25 foot drop out of the building similar to JPRA at IoA. The vehicles would be 8 person rafts instead of 6.

Southern Star could be renamed Frenzoid, Peanuts Pirates as Flying Dutchman. The ride length would likely be about the same, just more compact with more switchbacks throughout the building.

So this won't be a rapids at all but more like a splash boat? I have seen rapids themed but never one this small especially with show elements.

Why make Rapids shorter?

Longer ride and less soaking is why I preferred Rapids over WWF.

I also preferred Flume over WWF.

Furthermore, why add another dead end walkway to clog up, connect it to the Fury plaza.

There’s no reason it has to be a dead end, I just left it like that to end the pathway. I’m sure the park could make a path around the rapids if need be.

As far as the length is concerned, I’m sure they could make it around the same length in a smaller area. Maybe even incorporate some whirlpools. The show building is more of a suggestion than anything. A well-themed outdoor Rapids would be amazing.

The last season or two Cedar Fair has really cut out these dated/unreliable rides like Firehawk, Stinger, Volcano, the enterprises and water attractions. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s a goner.

In my opinion, I think the rapids should stay. I don't care if they revamp it a little bit, but i just don't see the need right now to remove it.

Rapids isn’t really much of a maintenance nightmare, and considering it’s the only water ride at the park, it’s not unpopular. As others have said (mainly coasterbruh), it’s possible that we see it renovated some time down the road based on how well Calico River Rapids is received at Knott’s.

Cedar Fair has been removing enterprises lately, with Enterprise (VF), Witches Wheel (CP) and Orbiter going to the scrap yard. I would not be surprised at all if Scream Weaver was removed in the very near future. Even with its location next to Fury, i never see it with a line even on the busiest of days.
