Call this me four. I just like the rush of top gun. And it has more inversuions and its just lots of fun. BTW the line goes faster even when filled up. Thanks Carowindsman for fast boarding. :D

I agree with all the above concerning Top Gun! In fact I have a saying:

"The best thing that ever happened to Top Gun is Borg!"

I love it when a new ride draws the "fairweather fans" away from one of my favs.

Also, I have to add the thanks to CarowindsMan. The Top Gun crew is always keeping it running great and awesome job with the ERT during C3 2003 & 2004. I don't know what you look like but try to say HI next time we hit the park. Several of the Whootah Crew are planning on being there Opening Day. Which is not that far away! WHOOTAH!

:P

BTW - Thanks for the great pics Ken. It fascinates the $%$T out of me to see those old shots. Really cool!

BBTW - Are you still out there FluffyGun???

Thank you for the comments i hope the crew will be as good as last year we will run Top Gun till the wheels come off (While nobody is on) to make sure that everybody gets the ride of there life. You will know who i am on opening day just watch when there is a height complaint you will see me then. BUt anyways thank you for the comments i will make sure to run it by the old crew and make the new crew understand this is how top gun will live up to its reputation.

If he runs the wheels off, then it is a good thing he wasn't working when I was at Carowinds. He might of caused an accident. Just joking around.

After the new senstation of flight kinda wore off, I kept finding myself wandering over to TG...even when Borg's line wasn't that long (1/2 hour). TG back row, left seat at night is the absolutely stunning. Front row dosn't compare that well.

Thanks again swampfox for another set of cool pics.

Thunder Road looked huge with the lift hill there by itself. lol

I can't believe White Lightnin' actually cost $1MM dollars back then.

Hmm, wonder how cost a ride like White Lightnin' would cost today?

I'm guessing at least $7,000,000.

Actually I would think that Golden Loop wouldn't cost that much to buy back...[shipping not included]

I wouldn't mind getting White Lightning aka The Golden Loop back! I don't know if Paramount would bring it back though! The upkeep would be an issue, IMHO! It'd be great though! Maybe they could bring back the name at least and attach it to a newer type shuttle type coaster! I suggested it to them in one of the many surveys they've emailed me! I'd love to see boomerang coaster parts start appearing at the end of the 2005 season like when Borg Part started arriving! B)
