and hey, I may be wrong, but I thought on one "yukon striker update" video I saw the windseeker there stored in the air. maybe it's just to look good, or possibly they took off the seats (if that's even possible) and just raised the rest of it into the air. who knows?

I remember seeing it in the air in one of the videos as well. Not sure why. However, I don’t think the parks store them in the air long term like they do skytower and the drop towers.

Seems the swings would be a bad idea to keep suspended, especially if wind is the reason they do it for the towers. Wind would not play nice with hanging swings.

I remember in previous off seasons Carowinds kept the skytower up halfway instead of at the top.

EDIT : Windseeker was lifted all the way to the top. ( not testing ) possible maintenance.

Has anyone had the All Season FunPix before? Looking to get it on my son's pass and was wondering how it works. Carowinds' website isn't fully understandable.

1. Is there a limit to the number of photos he gets? For example, if he rides CS ten times in a day, can he get the digital photos of all ten?
2. Does it include any on-street photos, like when entering the park or during the Scarowinds/WinterFest time?
3. Does he have to be in the photo? For example, could he get a photo of me and my daughter from a ride if we were standing next to him?
4. In general, did you find the cost worth it?

I've gotten it. It works at all the parks in the chain. One time, I had a problem where it dropped from my card, but they added it back pretty quickly at the main FunPix plaza at the front of the park.

1. No limit. You can get 100 pictures a day if you want. You can get the whole train you were on if you and a bunch of buddies all rode together. No limit whatsoever.
2. All of the on street photos are included during the regular season. It also includes the little areas around the park (I think there's one in County Fair) where you scan your card, pose, and it automatically takes your picture. It may also work for Winterfest and Scarowinds but I can't speak on that since I never tried.
3. You can get any photo, at any time.
4. Absolutely. Especially if you plan to go to other parks that you've never been to.

Yes it works at Scarowinds and Winterfest and any other event at all Cedar Fair parks. I have had it since it came into play lol. I have a million coaster and genral park pics from across the chain.

Hey, recently I was looking at past years of Carowinds on google earth and happened to notice a possible attraction. I’m not sure what it is so I figured I post it on here. It’s This lake thing with a structure near what was white water falls, dodgems and thunder road. Sand dune lagoon replace this in 2006.

Frenzoid (now Southern Star). It was removed at the end of 2005 for the 2006 season, painted, and moved to it's current location for the 2007 season.
