General Carowinds discussion

Yeah IMO, this is definitely the best attraction the park has ever built. In terms of appeal at least, since it’s thrilling, doesn’t have a big drop, and is pretty well-themed compared to the rest of the park. It’s the most well-rounded attraction we’ve ever had.

We’ve seen some so far:

Looks like a motorboat to me and some other “hillbilly” type stuff you’d find on their property. Also along the wall I believe is spray painted “no trespassing” or something like that in orange paint. Not sure what’s going on in the third pic.

I love all the theming and I’m curious at what is all going to happen inside the launch barn. Although this may be a stretch it would be so cool to have some kind of animaTronic snakes lunging out with hissing sounds and lit eyes along the route of some of those tight turns.

This is very impressive! I may be asking too much, but like one post above said, I kinda want some TVs or even a preshow displaying the backstory for the ride.

Also, that mining activity sounds cool, especially for kids too small to ride!

That is a shame, from watching the POV it looks as if the track was designed for interaction. The first train passing below the 2nd launch as the 2nd train is going through the 2nd launch. The timing roughly lines up as well, oh well it was a nice thought.

While that would be super cool to see in person, the interaction seems dangerously close, and it is a massive hand chopper. I don't think having trains on both parts at the same time would be safe. my perspective could be wrong, but it looks too close to me.

phareous wrote:Sadly, if any of the theming in the queue is within reach, it will be destroyed within a few years. I've seen it happen at Busch Gardens, and I have no faith that Carowinds would ever repair anything in the queue

I sure hope that doesn't happen! The theming is too detailed and unique and i'd be extremely sad to see it go!

As was mentioned, March 21st. If you want to be one of the first people (not the first ) to ride CS, you can enter the auction: https://one.bidpal.net/copperheadstrike/welcome
